The Dread

I was getting better day by day. It's been two months in Juneau and my best friend has already recovered. Another happy news is that I have got rid of some of my sickness. This really pleased me. I guess a happy environment is all I need. My parents grew very happy . Everything turned out great for the rest of the week. But little did I know that there was a big dread waiting for me, the very next day.

The day started great. Until I was ready to get to my bed to sleep. I know. It's weird.
Well, things are about to get even more weirder.

I switched my bedroom lamp off and got to my bed . I took my blanket from the wardrobe. Wait! I can't believe I forgot to tell you this! About my room.

My room is the smallest one in the house. I prefer smaller rooms as they are sometimes the most ventilated and the coziest. I had my bed at one corner, a table at the other, and a washroom adjacent to it.

Also, I had some posters of my favorite pop singers and a small TV. I mostly just use it to play video games. I also love watching anime.

And, the most important yet the smallest thing in my room is the emergency button.
Let me tell you this, this always comes in handy to me. In case of any emergency, just press it. It will work as an alarm and everyone in the house would know it is an emergency and gather around in my room. It's located right above my bed. This has been really useful to me, especially, in this day that we're talking about.

Next, the most important part , the dream. It might appear funny to you, but believe me, it isn't.

THE DREAM

I was alone, walking down the street at night. There are very few vehicles on the road. Most of the stores have been closed too.

The weather turned chilly. I could see my breath as if it was snowing. I was breaking out in cold sweat. I could feel my breathing get ragged. I decided to head back home, but suddenly, someone grabs me by the neck. I struggled to breathe. They utilized this time to capture me. They tied my hands with a rope that looked like a lasso. Then, they covered my mouth with a towel which had an intense scent. My heart was beating like crazy at this moment. It felt as though it is striving and pushing harder to get out of my body. My senses seems to have gone numb at this moment. I faint.

I woke up later (not from the dream, from suffocation) to see a cloaked man holding a knife. My heart is now beating outside my body. It felt very heavy that I thought it was a metal. He immediately started cutting my left ankle. Soon, my leg was covered with nothing but a red colored fluid. I did not feel pain as soon as the blood rushed out. I thought it was because it was just a dream, but that wasn't the reason. I guess it was because, I was thinking deeply that of all my body parts, why would he chose my ankle?

You should know that I started screaming like hell, but nothing came out of my mouth. It was not only because my mouth was covered in a towel but also because my voice just broke off for real.

All of a sudden, the world starts to swirl and I come back to the present. I sat up from by bed taking deep breaths to calm myself down. I was trembling crazy tat I looked like I was suffering from a seizure. My head felt a little hot too. I had this vomiting sensation but for the time being, I am trying to control it. The calming wasn't working too well because some of my diseases still hasn't cured yet.

I noticed straight away that my leg was fiercely throbbing. I felt a hot fluid trickling towards my foot. I take my blanket off my legs to notice that my ankle was bleeding for real! I started screaming at the top of my lungs. I started heaving myself to press the emergency button. As soon as I pressed it, my parents were in my room the very next second.

They were looking very petrified. You should have seen their faces. They were panicking and at the same time confused. I quickly tried to point out my ankle which was bleeding severely. It looked as if it was almost chopped of by an axe.

"We should quickly get to the hospital" said dad. Mom agreed as well. My sister also woke up by this time.

My dad quickly grabbed the car keys and carried me inside the car. My mom and sister got in too. Dad started driving the car swiftly. I could see my mother's worried face gleaming at the window. My father was also in such a panic. He kept on asking me if I'm alright and my mother kept ensuring me that I'm alright.

Dad was asking this question every minute or so which made me very annoyed. I spilled the truth.

"It really hurts dad" I cried out.

"Its gonna be alright sweetheart, you're doing pretty well"

"You hear me? JO, JO?'

"Jo, you with us? Can you hear me? JO! JO!"

I was unable to talk as my body went unconscious from severe blood loss. My eyes closed ploddingly.
