SONG OF THE CHAPTER: HOPE FOR THE UNDERRATED YOUTH BY YUNGBLUD
Anna's POV
"Wake upppp."
I hear an irritated voice and feel like an earthquake is occurring. I open my eyes slightly to find no earthquake but Abi shaking me.
"Ugh finally." She flops down beside me.
"What?"
"I need to go downstairs."
"Okay? So? You don't need me for that?"
"No I can't go down there. There's people."
"No shit Sherlock. What do you mean?"
"There's famous people."
"Abi? What drugs are you on? You know all those famous people? Ask James or someone for help. I'm sleeping."
"But there's more of them. And they're already downstairs."
"What do you mean more of them? Again it's our New Year's party. You've met them before."
"Yeah I know but never in my pjs."I finally open my eyes properly and sit up. I laugh at her desperation.
"They're not going to care Abs."
"Yeah but I do." She groans.
"So get changed before going downstairs?" I question her. Wasn't she supposed to be the smart one in this friendship?
"That's the issue. I can't."
"Why?"
"Layla and Peter have my clothes."
"Again. Why?"
"They knew I was afraid of coming across everyone in my pjs so they must have thought it would be funny to take my clothes."
I laugh so loudly.
"Abs. What the hell?"
"Don't laugh at me. This is serious. Frank Iero is downstairs and he can't see me in my pjs."
"You'd seriously think after all these years you would be use to who my family are and know that they really wouldn't care." I continue to laugh while hunting through my drawer of shirts, tossing her one and some pants to change into."Thank you." She states once changed. She starts racing downstairs threatening Layla and Peter. I don't bother getting changed, just brush my hair and followed her down.
"What's that about?" Dad asks as I slide onto the breakfast bar stool.
"Layla and Peter stole her clothes so she couldn't change."
He smiles and laughs, shaking his head in amusement.
"Yeah she was afraid Frank would see her in her pjs." I say which causes Abi to stop in her tracks.
"Anna. Shut up." She hisses but it was too late for her. Frank heard me and cracked up laughing. Abi turns a shade of red that could match the bottle of tomato sauce on the dining table. Dad and Frank laugh and Frank gets up and hugs her.
"Don't be embarrassed. It's okay."Abi glares at me and sits down at the dining table. I get up from the breakfast bar and sit next to her smiling.
"You love me." I poked her.
"Yeah but still." She rolls her eyes. "How dare you." She whispers in my ear. Peter and Layla join us and Abi glares at them.
"You little shits."James comes and sits down along with mum, dad, Jenna, Tyler and Frank. We enjoy a breakfast prepared by mum and Jenna.
After breakfast, Frank and Tyler head out to go get the rest of the required items for tonight's party, mum and Jenna continue the rest of the food prep and the rest of us start setting up the decorations inside and on the patio. We also had to rearrange the furniture to make sure there was enough room for everyone to fit in.
"A, just turn the couch around so it's not in the middle there but over there instead." Dad instructs me. I nod and try and lift the couch. I failed at that. James sees me struggling and comes over to give me a hand, which made moving it so much easier.
"Thanks."
"No worries." He kisses my cheek and goes back to hanging a banner. I grab a few balloons and begin blowing them up.After two balloons, I start feeling very lightheaded and the room was spinning.
"A?" I hear dad.
"Yeah?"
"You good?"
I nod and grab another balloon. I breathe in and inflate the balloon. My vision goes funky and I lose my balance, leaning on dad.
"Dizzy." I mutter.
"Woah what's happening?" He says worries and lowers me down to the ground so if I do pass out I won't fall too far.
"Dizzy." I mutter again. He looks really worried for a moment and then smiles.
"You're okay, it's just from blowing up balloons. No more of that from you."
