The first thing Eileen saw Piper do when she woke was reach for her dagger (since when did everyone get deadly weapons?), which, all things considered, seemed like a very smart choice.

She was feeling better after the nectar that had been offered to her, and was trying very hard not to stare too hard at Argus when her friend stirred.

"How are you feeling?" Rachel asked.

Piper looked around. They had moved her to a different room in the Big House that looked a little bit like a sickbay. It was clean, mostly white, and had a poster of the wall of a satyr that looked suspiciously like Coach Hedge that read: Don't let sickness get your goat!

"Where-" Piper's eyes widened when she saw Argus standing by the door.

Eileen had had the same reaction. Argus looked exactly like an average California surfer-dude, buff, long blonde hair, tan - except for one little, well, major, difference. He had blue eyes all over his body. And that's all over his body. His eyes covered his arms and legs, his face, his hands. Even his feet had eyes - peering at them intently from his sandals.

     "That's Argus." Eileen said.

"He's head of security," Rachel explained, "he's just keeping an eye on things... so to speak."

Argus nodded. The eye on his chin winked.

Piper didn't even look like she was taking this information in. "Where-"

"You're in the Big House," Rachel said. "Camp offices. You and Eileen were brought here when you both collapsed.

"You too?" Piper looked at Eileen, bewildered. Then she stared at Rachel. "You grabbed me," she said, "Hera's voice-"

"I'm so sorry about that," Rachel said. "Believe me, it was not my idea to get possessed. Chiron healed you with some nectar-"

     "Nectar?"

"The drink of the gods. In small amounts, it heals, if it doesn't - ah - burn you to ashes."

     "Oh. Fun."

Yeah, she definitely wasn't taking it all in.

Rachel sat forward. "Do you remember your vision?"

"Something's wrong with the goddess," Piper said. "She told me to free her, like she's trapped. She mentioned the earth swallowing us, and a fiery one, and something about a solstice."
