Kerry, couldn't help but feel relieved after swallowing the contents of the small vial of that foul liquid. A ludicrous, but necessary tonic, if she has to call it something. But it wasn't a cure and it would not always be a sure thing. And that terrified her.
An overload of intense emotions or a severe rush of adrenaline and everything would be done for. It would practically dissolve her 'medicine,' explode through her smallish secure wall of protection Kerry had created for herself and Kaz would be let loose and she'd run wild, wreaking havoc and leaving chaos and devastation in her wake.
It all began as a voice in her head of course, 'eye roll.'
She ignored it because, one, she wasn't crazy.
Two, Kerry was not going to tear apart a person for simply bumping into her shoulder by accident
And three, she was definitely NOT going to rip someone's arm off and them to death with it... only because they stood a little too close to her and they were breathing too loud.
Kerry was not a violent person. She would swear her life on that.
But then... she had her accident.
The young redhead had always dreamed of curing the world of all kinds of diseases. Making medicines and remedies for the sick. And maybe winning the Nobel prize or something along that kind of road...
She was NOT a mad scientist! She wasn't!!!
But experimenting with chemicals at home, even with the right safety measures and safety gear... it wasn't enough... accidents AND explosions still happen.
Then suddenly, that voice was not JUST a voice anymore.
And Kaz Hyde was born...
The hazel eyed girl shook her head, no need to think of the past.
Today is a new day, Mystic Falls is a new town. And hopefully, if she kept her head down, she-
An amused, almost childish laughter echoed through her mind, making Kerry misstep and almost trip.
But she was caught.
The light redhead looked up to see a tall blonde with a small smile while her brow was pinched with worry, "Hey there, you okay?"
"Oh, yes. I'm sorry."
Kerry's saviour seemed startled by her British accent, "It's alright. Is something wrong?"
"No, no!" She shook her head and quickly came up with a lie, "First day jitters, that's all."
"You must be lost then. Here I'll take you to the admin."
"Yes, yes. Thank you," the redhead's chin dipped a few times, nodding as she was dragged along by the blonde, "Umm... why are we going there?"
"To get your timetable for your subjects and the school map," the taller of the two pulled her victim... prisoner... the person she was helping, closer towards her, so they were side by side. As if she was claiming her in front of the school? Because all eyes were on the pair.
