I smile softly as I stick up both of the pictures there where took last night on my fridge, I can't explain the feeling that washes over me when I look at them.
Jasmine's eyebrows knit together as she turns to face me, 'Are you sure that you don't have feelings for this man?'
I let out a shaky breath, 'I don't know.'
'You don't know?'
I shrug, 'I just get this strange fluttery feeling in my stomach whenever I see him.'
'Butterflies?'
I wince, 'Maybe.'
She claps her hands together, 'This is perfect! You are are meant for each other, I've claimed it since day one.'
'Except he's twenty-two years old and he doesn't need a kid tying him down.'
'He adores Belle anyone with eyes can see it.'
'That still doesn't change the fact that I have a lot of baggage and he probably doesn't want to deal with that.'
'But what if he does?'
'Trust me, he doesn't. He was on a date earlier this week.'
'Yes but didn't you tell me that he thought she was boring but when you guys hung out last night, he said that he had a lot of fun?'
'Well yeah but-'
'They are not buts here! Grow some lady balls and tell him how you feel.'
I shake my head, 'I can't, he just sees me as a friend.'
'Are you blind?'
'What?'
'Because anyone with eyes can see that this boy is crazy about you.'
I narrow my eyes, 'Stop feeding my delusions.'
'I'm sorry as your best friend its my role to feed them.'
'He doesn't like me, he's never liked me. He barely likes me as a friend.'
'Girl be for fucking real.'
'I'm not having this conversation.'
'We will continue to have this conversation until you tell him how you feel.'
'No.'
'Yes.'
'Nope'
'Yes.'
'Nada.'
...
My heart does a strange flutter as I walk into Harrington's, I think me accepting that I actually have feelings for this man is making all the symptoms come at once.
'H-Hello!' I squeak out as my cheeks burn a bright red.
Oliver's eyebrows knit together as he looks at me, 'You okay?'
'I'm okay, I'm better than okay in-fact I am grand!'
'You're acting strange.'
'I am not.' I manage out before I abruptly collide with the side of the counter, I let out a large hiss as I cradle the side of my body that was hit.
Laughter tumbles out of his mouth, 'You okay Duncan?'
'Just peachy.' I grit out.
'You want some coffee?'
'Yes please.'
His eyes bore into mine making my breath go shaky, 'Have you eaten today?'
'I had some porridge about an hour ago.'
