You Found Me

Chapter 17

I arrive at the hospital and shoot Meghan a text asking her where to go to meet Cali. She told me to meet her in the cafeteria and we'll go up from there. I stop at the gift shop quickly and get Cali some candy and a cute plush toy stegosaurus. I feel weird coming to see a kid in the hospital empty handed.

I look up from my phone to see Meghan coming up the stairs in her white coat. Her hair is down and she's smiling and laughing with the brunette beside her. I have never seen such a beautiful sight in my entire life. She blushed when we made eye contact and walks directly towards me "Korie this is my best friend, Katie. Katie this is my girlfriend Korie." Katie steps forward and gives me a hug and greets me warmly "We will all have to get dinner sometime and hang out" Katie offers.

"Well I haven't gone to see Cali yet today so I'll need to go get her some chocolate chip cookies. I always bring her a tasty snack since the food here is crap" Meghan explained as we walked through the cafeteria. I smiled at the adorable gesture she does daily for Cali. Once she has the cookies we go upstairs. We enter a room before entering the burn unit. I had to scrub my arms and wear a protective gown to enter the unit. Meghan told me it's to keep down on germs as burn victims are more susceptible to bacteria with compromised outer skin.

Once I'm gowned up they let us into the unit and we walk to Cali's room. Before we go in Meghan warns me it is kinda sad but to not focus on it too much. I enter the room to see a girl of maybe ten or eleven years of age sitting on the hospital bed smiling from ear to ear because Meghan just walked in with a treat. She quickly takes notice of me "You must be Korie." I smile and say that I am indeed Korie as I hand her the stuff I got at the gift store. She thinks me kindly and opens it. She squealed when she saw the dinosaur plush toy and her favorite snack skittles. It made me smile to see her happy over such small things.

"So you guys leave for your trip tomorrow? You excited" Cali asks. I guess Meghan really does talk to her about things in her life. Meghan tells her she's the most excited she can't wait to spend time with me. I blush at her comment and say that I'm also excited to get away with Meghan. Cali looks to me "So do you love Meghan?" Geez she gets to the point for an eleven year old! Meghan is now staring at me and I'm blushing hard. I nod my head "Yes, I love her very much." Cali smiles "Good. That means you'll take good care of her." We visit for another half hour and then we head out so Cali can get some rest and not feel too overwhelmed.

"She's an adorable kid. It's a shame she's had to go through so much at such a young age. But she's obviously in good spirits and very smart" I say walking next to Meghan. I can't help but keep glancing at her entire outfit because she looks incredibly irresistible to me. She laughs "I take it you like seeing me in my white coat." I couldn't help but blush since she caught me checking her out. "I'm just saying if you bring your coat on vacation I won't be mad" I wink at her. She laughs as we approach my car and opens the door for me. "I love you. I'll see you tonight. I'll have dinner ready and we can go to bed for our flight in the morning" I say kissing her. I go to break the kiss and she pulls me in harder by my shirt "I love you too. See you tonight."

I get home and begin doing laundry for our trip. I'm so excited I can barely stand it. I call Loren to see how she's feeling since she was still sick from last week. She tells me she's coming back to work tomorrow and that she hasn't vomited in almost twenty four hours. I feel bad she's been so sick but I'm glad she's on the mend "Well I gotta finish packing sis I just wanted to call you and see how you're doing. I love you." After packing I start dinner so it's ready for when Meghan gets home. I used my new favorite kitchen gadget the Instapot and make pot roast for dinner. It turned out so good I was super excited for Meghan to try it.

Eight o'clock rolls around and I haven't heard from Meghan. I try not to worry but part of me always worries until she contacts me. I put the food away and leave my luggage by the front door. I text Meghan that I left food in the fridge and that the front door is unlocked for her. I set my alarm for four in the morning and eventually drift off to sleep.

I am woken up around eleven at night with soft warm arms wrapping around me. I smile and kiss her hand as she snuggles more into me "Did you get food?" She doesn't answer so I assume she's just tired and has had a hard day. Twenty minutes later I hear the front door open and keys hit the counter. I am instantly confused because Meghan is in bed with me so who the hell is in my apartment? "Loren" I call out. I see the person round the counter and approach my room "No it's me babe." It's Meghan!

I jump from my bed squealing "If you're out there who's in my fucking bed?" I flick the light on to see Allie smiling devilishly. You have got to be kidding me! "How the fuck did you get in my house" I yell at her. "You left the door unlocked so I came in for a cuddle" she smirked. I am covered in goosebumps because she has deeply freaked me out. "Get the fuck out of our house" Meghan yells at her. Allie rolls her eyes and gets out of my bed and pushes past Meghan rudely.

I am literally balling my eyes out "Meghan I swear to you. I thought it was you when she crawled in bed and cuddled with me. I feel awful! I'm not a cheater I'd never do that to you." Meghan sits me down as I'm having a full on panic attack "Look at me. Breath in and hold it." I look her in her eyes and I breath in "Good. Now exhale." I hold eye contact with her and we do this several times until I'm calm "Baby I know you didn't do this on purpose I can tell your reaction is genuine and you're clearly freaked out. But I will say I think it's time I get a key for here and you get a key to my place to avoid this type of weird shit."

I smiled at her wanting a key to my place and vice versa. I can see she's tired so we get ready for bed for our early flight. She comes out of the bathroom in her red lacy bra and underwear and I am instantly turned on but try to calm myself down. "Damn why do you do this to me" I smirk at her. She raises an eye brow "Do what?" I laugh "Ugh we can't do this right now we have to be up so early." She smirks and takes off the bra and gets into bed. If my jaw could hit the floor it would. I'm trying my damndest to not think about her being topless but it's hard to not think about when she's pressed up against me.

She's so soft and warm the feeling of her boobs being smashed against me is a huge turn on. She reaches up and kisses my neck to which I let out a moan. "Ooh really" she kisses my neck again. I smile "Don't start something you can't finish." She straddles me in one swift motion that leaves me breathless as I stare up at her. "Why are you so damn beautiful Meghan" I say rubbing my hands up her sides to her breasts. Her eyes soften as she stares down at me "You're more beautiful."

I pull her down to me and kiss her slowly. "As badly as I want you right now. I think we should get some sleep. I want to have an amazing vacation with you but we are only getting like four hours of sleep tonight." She rolls her eyes "Okay fine...but you owe me one." I pull her into me as she lays down and assure her I'll make it to her as soon as possible. I kiss her neck from behind "Goodnight Meghan."
