Tea

Author's Note: I am aware this is a lot shorter than the first one, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless!

Zander sighs as he bangs his head against his keyboard. He's been working on this one assignment for three hours, and he hasn't gotten anywhere. Darkness has fallen outside, and moonlight shines through the window, bathing Zander in bright silver light. He closes his eyes and leans back into his chair, trying his hardest to relax.

Luke notices his frustration from his place on the couch, where he has been sitting for the past three hours while Zander has been working. He wishes he could do something to help, but he just doesn't know what. He closes his eyes too, and he suddenly gets an idea. He quietly moves off the couch and to the kitchen, trying not to disturb Zander so he can surprise him.

In the kitchen, he quietly gets out a mug and a teabag, and boils some water in the kettle. He flinches at the noise, but luckily, Zander is too distracted by his assignment to notice anything. Luke prepares the tea, and slowly sneaks out of the kitchen with the mug. He comes up behind Zander, hugging him as he places the tea next to Zander's laptop. Zander turns his head slightly to face Luke. "What's this for?", he asks.

Luke smiles nervously. "Well, whenever I'm stressed you make me tea, so I thought I'd make some for you since you seem frustrated."

"Luke, that is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me." Zander smiles at him, but it quickly turns to a frown. "Wait, why are you still here?! You were meant to go home an hour ago! I just assumed you left because I was so caught up in my work!"

"Damn it, I completely forgot! I just wanted to be here for you in caseyou needed me." Luke quickly rushes to grab his school bag and put his shoesback on. He runs over to Zander and kisses his cheek before running over to thedoor. "Sorry, love, I'll see you tomorrow." He rushes out the door, and Zanderis left alone. He shakes his head, smiling, and turns back to his laptop,sipping his tea.
