Chapter 20

You stand there with your jaw to the ground as you stare at them both.

"H-Husband?!" you exclaim in shock "also how the fuck did you get out of jail?!"

"I uh... I bailed him out" Kato nervously says.

"My abuser gets put in the place he belongs and you bail him out?!" you say angrily.

"Me and his family discussed this a while ago. But we wasn't aware he was working with you until now seeing as I never showed him a picture of you or described you. You were not supposed to meet till your wedding day but plans changed and you became close friends which is a bonus" your father grinned before frowning "and I won't let that damn hero get in the way. You and Kato would make the perfect child"

"The fuck to you mean?" you growled.

"Well did you not know Kato's quirk?" he questioned and you shook your head "Well your quirk brings life and heals and his... It kills without a trace"

Your eyes widen as you whip your head to Kato who stands there with his head down and you glare at him before your eyes widen.

"Kato.... D-did you use it on baba?" you ask nervously.

"Oh that old hag? Yeah she was getting too close to you and she knew the truth and was gonna spill so I ordered Kato to silence her" you father grinned and tears started to fall from your eyes.

"I-I'm sorry Y/N..." Kato says with tears in his eyes.

"Your getting married in two weeks. I will be checking up on you and if you defy or don't show up. I will kill you... actually even better Kato can" your father says with a deep laugh "Come boy"

You watch as they start to walk away before suddenly stopping and your father turns around.

"Oh and Y/N. If you run I will find you and it won't be pretty for you.... Or your mother" he smirks before finally leaving.

You laid in bed the next day with bags under your eyes from having no sleep and you had no motivation to leave it apart from needing the bathroom. You couldn't as you were scared and angry with the situation on hand. You couldn't even think about getting upto eat or drink as your stomach churned at the thought. Your phone kept dinging and ringing from calls coming from Kato and Shoto but you didn't answer. You just stayed in your dark, quiet room. It was coming upto 5pm when there was a banging on your door but you ignored it.

"Y/N?!" you heared Shoto's voice come from the front door and with a groan you forced yourself up.

You stood still for a moment as you were a bit light headed the proceed to walk to the door and as soon as you opened it Shoto stared at you wide eyed at you disheveled and sickly appearence.

"What on earth happened?" he asked worried coming in and ushering you to the kitchen.

"Just didn't sleep" you mumble.

"Don't lie to me. Now I want the truth" he says and when your eyes water up he hugs you and gently rocks your side to side "Please Y/N tell me what's wrong. You haven't answered me all day and I was worried"

That was when you broke down and told him everything causing Shoto to tense up.

"If I run he said he would hurt my mom" you cry and Shoto kissed your head.

"That's not going to happen. I won't let it. I have an idea but it depends on your mom aswell" he tells you and you look at him to show your listening "Come live with me. I live in an penthouse above my agency and have enough rooms for you and your mom to stay in and a couple of nurses who can stay to help your mom if I ask the hospital till this blows over"

"A-are you sure?" you sniffle.

"Of course... I care for you a lot and I want you and your mother safe" he says with a soft smile "being above the agency not only means I'm there but it's open 24/7 so someone is always there so it's extremely safe"

"O-Okay.... Let's do it" you say with determination "I'm going to email my work and hand in my notice"

"Before that though I will make you something to eat and you go have a bath to relax okay?" Shoto says and you nod with a small smile.

"Thank you for everything Shoto"
