Chapter 19

You enter your mother's room to see her look at you confused.

"Is everything okay?" she asks.

"Everything is fine just a small mishap near the front desk. Shoto is dealing with it" you say with a smile deciding to not tell her.

"Oh.. I hope no one is hurt" she says concerned.

"Not at all. Me and Shoto prevented that" you respond and relax when you see her relax aswell.

"You are soo brave. I don't see why you didn't become a hero in the medical field like your grandmother" your mother say.

"We went through this already mom" you sigh.

"I know I know" she chuckles "but I'm happy with what you have become. I support you no matter what hero, doctor or even if you worked as a waitress I wouldn't care because you worked hard to get wherever you are"

"Thanks mom" you smile.

You all turn when the door opened and Shoto walked in.

"Is everything all good now?" your mother asks and Shoto glance to see you have a look on your face to say don't tell her the details.

"Everything is fine. Just a misunderstanding" he informs her and you look at him thankful.

"That good" she nods then the door knocks and a nurse pokes her head in.

"Im sorry but biting hours are nearly up" the nurse says timidly.

"No worries" you say standing up and giving your mother a hug "I will try visit you as soon a possible okay?"

"No rush. I know being a doctor is busy" she responds with a smile before looking at Shoto and giving him a hug which shocked him slightly "Take care of my shining moon"

"Of course" the male nods.

"Thanks you" she says letting him go "I will see you soon. Love you Y/N"

"Love you too mom" you smile as you both walk out and once you reach the desk you talk to the receptionist.

"Please send a message to all staff to not mention to Miss L/N about who attempted to visit her today" you tell her.

"Of course. I will do that right away Doctor" she say with a firm nod.

"Thank you. Have a good evening" you smile and walk out with Shoto to his car.

"So that was your father" Shoto says breaking the silence once in the car.

"Sadly yes" you sigh "sorry you had to deal with him"

"Oh I don't mind" Shoto say as he starts to drive "I rather he not hurt your mother more and make sure your safe"

"That's so sweet of you. Thank you" you smile.

"Your welcome" he nods keeping his attention to the road.

You arrive back into your home and Shoto dropped you off due to him having a sudden call from his agency so needed to deal with that. You had a shower and made dinner consisting of steak, rice and vegetables the once you ate that you went and sat on your sofa with a cup of jasmine tea and turned on your TV putting on a movie. Halfway through your door bell rang and checking the time you see its 9:30pm.

Who the hell is here at this time? You thought as you stood up and walked to the door. You looked through the peephole and you looked confused to see Kato stood there and you open the door.

"Kato? What are you doing here?" you ask confused.

"We all need to talk." He says.

"We all?" you question confused before your eyes widen when your father suddenly stands beside Kato.

"Yes child we do" your father says.

"No. I'm not going to talk to you and Kato do you know who this man is?!" you exclaim angrily and he nods putting his head down "I can believe you! I'm not talking to either of you!"

You go to shut the door but your father stops it with his hand.

"Now now Y/N" he says pushing it open with a grin "that's no way to treat your future husband"
