Chapter 16

You awoke when you felt someone lightly shake you awake. You yawned and rubbed your eyes and looked to see Shoto smiling at you.

"Hello sleepy head" he said softly with a small smile "We are here now"

"Oh... Sorry I passed out" you say slightly embarrassed.

"Don't be." he responds as he undoes his seat belt "let's go see your mother"

You undo yours then leave the car and you both walking into the reception area and upto the desk.

"Good afternoon" the pretty woman at the desk say with a smile "how can I help you?"

"I have come to visit my mother L/N M/N" you tell her.

"Okay..." She says as she types on her computer the looks at you with a big smile "She is available to see you and has no therapist today so you can spend as long as you would like today"

"Brilliant, ummm are you able to have her doctor for the day meet me first to check on her mood for today?" you ask her.

"Of course. Just head up and the doctor will see you shortly" She responds and you thank her then head to her room with Shoto in toll.

After 10 minutes of waiting you see your mother's regular doctor walk upto you and Shoto.

"Good afternoon Miss L/N. How can I help you today?" he asks.

"Good afternoon Dr Ootari. I just want to know my mother's condition today. I brought my friend with me but was worried that she might be having a bad day as I don't want to overwhelm her" you explained.

"Ah that's understandable. Well she is doing well today. Very chatty and smiley. She talked about your alot and is very excited to meet Mr Todoroki" the doctor says with a smile and you smile back then look to Shoto.

"Hear that? Even my mother is looking forward to your visit" you beam.

"Well we best not keep her waiting" Shoto says returning your smile.

"Of course! Thank you Dr Ootari" you say to the male.

"No problem. Just give me a buzz if you need anything" he says and you nod before he scurries off.

"Let's go! Can't keep my mother waiting any longer otherwise I won't hear the end of it" you chuckle as you both walk upto her room.

You knock on the door and ear a faint come in and you open the door to see your mother sat by the window painting a portrait of the flower bouquet you sent her a couple of days ago.

"Hello mom" you say softly and she turns around giving you a big smile.

"Hello my shining Moon" your mother smiles as she puts down her brush and walks over to you and embraces you in a tight hug that you return "and who is this gentleman here?"

"Oh mom this is Todoroki Shoto. He is a friend of mine" you say introducing him.

"Pleasure to meet you Ma'am" Shoto says politely with a bow.

"Oh please call me M/N" She says with a smile then moves aside "please come in. I will just tidy my things up."

You and Shoto fully enter the room and take a seat on some chairs the nurse obviously brought in earlier.

"So. How did you two meet?" your mom asks as she takes a seat infront of you.

"Oh I was Shoto's doctor after he got hurt during a villain attack" you tell her.

"Oh my, we're you caught in the crossfire?" you mom asks in shock.

"Oh no I'm a hero" Shoto says.

"Ah I thought I recognised you! Your Rei's son aren't you?" your mother asks.

"Yes I am" Shoto responds.

"How is your mother doing?" She asks.

"She is doing well. Alot more happier to be with her family" Shoto explains and your mom smile.

"That's lovely to hear" She says happily but you notice the very slight sadness in her eyes.

"Do you like the flowers mom? " you ask her.

"The flowers!" She exclaims happily "their beautiful my shining moon. I was permitted to have art supplies in my room so their the first thing I have decided to paint because they were soo beautiful. The next thing is going to be something for you to hang in your apartment"

"Aww I'm glad you like them" you beam "also I look forward to see what you paint for my apartment. I can't wait"

"Mhm also arling could you run to the cafeteria and see if you can get us all some green tea" your mom ask.

"Of course mom" you smile as you stand up and look at Shoto "I won't be long".

He nods and you quickly walk out the room leaving your mom and Shoto alone.
