These dudes tend to exaggerate anatomy a lot in funny moments. So exaggerating is good for comic relief. They also stylize the hair and eyes. So just study anatomy a little and do research, then throw in some comic relief every once in a while. Remember, anime styles don't have a lot to do with shadows, so that's a relief!
