Jake hurts in every bit of his body as he wakes.
The light is so bright he doesn't even want to open his eyes.

He hears movement and then Collin excitedly shouts away from him, "He's conscious!"

There's a second and Jazapie orders, "Turn the lights down slowly.
"If he starts to slip, blaze it again."

Jazapie comes close and smoothes back Jake's wet hair, "Come on, Breed, pull yourself up."

Jake weakly states, "Not doin' shit, 'til ya turn that light off."

Collin laughs, "We're in deep shit now, he's back."

Jazapie harshly tells him, "He's not back until he's on his feet.
"Watch that feed line.
"If anyone finds out we're this close, there will be hysterics."

Collin fusses with a cocky attitude, "I got it.
"This was my idea, remember?
"Besides, Jake won't freak out, he's too smooth."

Jazapie huffs, "Watch that tone.
"Just cause you're getting your swag on now, doesn't mean you can point it at your parents."

Collin laughs, "Get over it already, I have."

Jake whimpers playfully, "Do I even want to know?"

The light becomes comfortable with is eyes closed as Jazapie gently tells him, "No, but I got to tell you, we'll be laughing about it forever.
"Can't leave you out of the joke, just cause you were flat on your ass."

Jake questions, "Does it have anything to do with why I hurt so bad?"

Collin sounds happy, "No, but for that's my fault, too."

Jazapie informs him, "You hurt so bad because you were blown up on a subatomic level and reassembled from the quantum field.
"All within about fifty seconds."

Collin inquires, "How much do you remember?"

Jake cracks his eyes open, "I was going to ask Zev about my strategy."

Jazapie shades his eyes, "Above an hour than.
"Your short term memory must have been lost."

Jake hurts more where ever he tries to move.
He grunts and he moves his arm to get Jazapie's hand, "Ya gonna tell me what happened?"

Jazapie collects his hand and lays it back down, "Later, right now I'm too business."

Jake wonders, "Yeah, what are you doing, Angel?"

Jazapie informs him, "Overseeing a controlled backflow implosion as it rights your mental fortitude.
"You really should have stayed in the comma I put you in for another day.
"But ya are Jake, so ya have to be a pain."

Collin reports, "Opacity no longer validating.
"Shall I turn it all the way off?"

Jazapie orders, "Yes, then turn the humidifier off."

The lighting goes very dim and Jake opens his eyes.
It takes a lot of blinking to get his eyes to focus.

The room is medical machine on every wall with only door that's not.
The medical table is striped bare, but for plastic cover.
Jake is in loose fitting fight shorts and his skin is blood red all over.

Jake questions, "How about turning down the heat, too?
"Maybe a pillow for the sore guy?"

Collin keeps working on the wall and Jake notes his blue shirt is not a cotton shirt anymore, but a fryker casual.
