The Mail Man

Collin chuckles as he hits them with white lightning.

They step up on the concrete driveway as Eric wonders, "Why not to the door?"

Collin informs them, "Defenses are back on."

Jake leads them to the door as he chews.
He has another bite as he presses the bell, but they hear nothing.
He tries the door, but it's locked.

Eric tries it again, "They locked us out?"

Eric holds the bell until Droid answers, "It's a bad time, can you come back later."

Eric questions, "Why are we locked out?"

"I do not think an interruption will suit any of you at this time."

Eric fusses his shock, "You're doing it?
"How do you have so much control?"

"I am now chief of security.
"Extra help is needed with just the two of them and Grumbles in the backyard."

Jake finishes his sandwich, "Bet ya free babysitting, Walker paid heavy for that one."

Eric laughs with little amusment, "Not like I'm not legally bound to babysit everyone in Campfire Seven.

"What do we do?
"Droid's not gonna tell them we're here."

Jake shrugs and knocks on the door, "Manually tell them."

It's minute before Zev opens the door.
His hair's a little messed and his cheeks are flushed.
There is movement noise in the room behind him as Zev teases, "We don't need the Good News our sons have conquered Hell's prince already."

Jake snickers as Eric huffs and Walker calls, "So, who is it?"

Zev teases, "Witnesses, ya want a Bible study, husband?"

Walker laughs, "Don't scare them."

Eric fusses, "Make Zev let us in, Dad."

Zev laughs as he opens the door wide, "Serves you right for not visiting, then showing up on quest and interrupting my day off before it full got going."

They see his boot as they get a view of him rushing out to the hall as they come in.
Jake picks the old well-worn cowboy hat up off the floor behind the couch as Collin closes the door behind them.

Jake tips the hat about, "I'm feeling like I really don't want to ask about this?"

Zev shrugs as he takes it and calls, "You left your hat when you cleared out your evidence."

Walker comes in very flush and in just jeans, "What hat?
"What evidence?

"Hey boys, what's up?"

Collin flares his eyes as he eats his sandwich making Zev chuckle, "Why ya got that unfair challenge with you?"

Eric wonders, "What's unfair about Collin?"

Walker takes the hat from him and tosses it in a chair, "Cause he's so adorable ya wanna pinch his cheeks and give him cookies, but he'll bite your appendages off if ya try."

Zev shakes his head, "I still don't believe the reports of him.
"He just can't have ever hurt anyone."

Walker debates, "Took that chuck out of my shoulder, broke both my arms and an ankle and our fight wasn't even a minute long."

Collin fully clears his bite, "That was cause you smashed my skull and I panicked."

Walker fusses, "That was before you hurt me."

Collin nods, "Wasn't gonna bother you, but you were on one."

Zev shakes his head, "All behind us now.
"Are you questing or going camping?"
