Theodore's POV.

I watch as my message gets a little 'read' underneath letting me know that he's read it, and then I send a second one telling so he knows that I know that he's skipping class. The second message gets a read as well and then nothing happens, he ignored me. The thought puts a bad taste in my mouth, I want to see him I'm just not ready to talk to him.

Sighing I put my phone away, deciding that if he skips sixth hour I'm going to wait by his car till he comes out. At lunch I ask Naveeah if she's seen Anthony today and she tells me no. I watch the door during sixth hour for Ant to come in and he never does. Guess I'm going to tell him not to skip class after school.

After school as I'm walking past the library to the parking lot to wait for Ant, Naveeah stops me.

"Where are you going?" She asks me crossing her arms.

"I'm waiting for Ant to tell him skipping school regardless of the reason is not a good thing," I respond rolling my eyes.

"Have you texted him?" she asks her eyebrows raised.

"Yes I did, and he left me on read," I admit feeling my chest tighten as the words leave my mouth.

"Okay, let me text him," she says grabbing her phone and typing. It takes only a minute before her phone dings, she shows me the message.

Are u at school?

Wrinkleballs

No picking up my grandparents from the airport. Why?

Theo texted u

I know I haven't answered him

Naveeah

Y not?

I don't want to take advantage and explain everything before I have the chance to do it in person

K good cuz he's reading over my shoulder read.

"Why would you tell him that!?" I exclaim.

"I'm not going to play middle man, if you want to talk to him, go to his house and talk to him, if you want him to talk to you wait till Friday like you told him to," Naveeah grumbles.

"I was just worried he'd skipped class because of me and when he didn't respond I panicked I guess, I don't know, he also wasn't here yesterday either and I definitely think he skipped cause of me," I admit.

"Just both of you take your time, breathe and on Friday talk," Naveeah states becoming all wise.

"Do you know why his car is here?" I ask.

"Uh- no," she responds after taking a moment to think about it.

"Okay, I just wanted to ask," I respond.

The next day I still don't see Ant in class, but remembering what he told Nav, I decide not to text him and instead let it go. I will talk to him on friday, I'm getting the full story and deciding from there what to do. I sigh and turn my attention back to my school work and reminding myself that if I want to I could still see Ant after school, not seeing him or talking to him, and actually getting the full story has made me really anxious to know the truth. Grabbing my phone I text Naveeah.

Can you drive me to Ant's house after school?

Haeevan

Sure u finally want to talk?

Oeht

Yeah I'm ready

Should I tell him before hand or just show up?

Haeevan

I'll text him I don't want him to freak out and not text u back

Okay I guess that makes sense

I put my phone away and decide to focus on my class, not wanting to fall even more behind. Eventually I get a message from Naveeah containing a screenshot of her and Ant's conversation.

Naveeah

Theo wants to tall to u can he come over after school?

Yeah he can, but for the sake of my grandparents take him to the park near my house.

Naveeah

I laugh at the name Naveeah gave him, and thank her for letting me know what he said. My heartrate picks up as the reality that I'm either going to hear something I really don't want to, or I'm going to hear what I want to hear and we'll be able to move on past this. Finally the end of the school day comes and Naveeah tells me that Ant is going to text her when she can bring me to the park to see him. Deciding I should tell Charlie before she has to use parental controls.

I'm going to Anthony's house to talk to him, I know you're really upset with him, but I need clarification if it's nothing good we will not continue dating but if It's something I deem forgivable we probably will because I love him.

Even though I don't like him I can see how happy he made you before this was all messy. So I'm not mad, thank you for letting me know.

I'm not mad at you I'm mad at Anthony but seriously you deserve to be happy with someone who makes you happy.

I love you too Teddy Grahams, I'd do anything to have you safe.

Naveeah gets the text from Ant telling her to head to the park and drop me off. She packs her stuff and we head to her car. My nerves spike up as the full realization that this meeting could go one way or another and that thought alone makes me feel terrible. I take deep breaths as we drive to the park. We're there all too soon, Naveeah and I wait in the car for a second before I take another deep breath and head towards Anthony.
