Ashley POV

Theo got me checked with the medical crew, though I told him not to. He did blackmail me, telling me he would go to Vowles if I didn't listen. And the doctor informed us that I was okay and could race.

"See. You should listen to me, Theo," I said in an annoyed tone.

"Hey, I've got one job and one job only. Don't get me fired," he said. I gave out a chuckle. My phone kept on beeping.

"Also, I think your boyfriend is gonna have a heart attack if you don't call him. I've already sent him a message saying you are okay, but I think he wants to hear your voice," he said.

"Casey cares a lot," I said, looking down. "It looks like you are missing him," Theo said, sitting beside me and putting a hand around my shoulder.

"He is everything. After me and Matt lost Mom and Dad, he was always there," I said, just wanting to feel his arms around me.

"He's a good guy," Theo said. "Yeah, and I am lucky to have him," I said.
I sent a message to your brother too, to which his reply was, 'Tell her to go and get that podium." Theo said, and I laughed.

"Matt knows I can handle it. He is protective, just not in a very obvious way," I said. "Hey, just so you know. It's not just Matt and Casey and 'your boys'" he said, quoting with his fingers.

"You have another one here for you. Anytime," he said. I gave him a thankful look. "Thank you," I said when he pumped his fist on my shoulder.

I signed a few caps and posters on my way to the press conference. "Ash, hurry up. You could be late," my PR head, Bella, hurried me.

"Just a second, Bells," I said as I signed the last cap and swiftly made my way to the press conference.

"OK so. Do you remember what we discussed? Do not apologize for the crash. I think you've apologized enough to the world for it," Bella warned me. I nodded. "Okay so it's gonna be You, Verstappen, Sainz, George, and Hulkenberg" she informed me.

"Oh, that's a group," I said as I reached the waiting area. I was second last to arrive as Nico didn't make it yet.

"Look at you in one piece," Sainz said as I walked towards the driver. "Yup, still alive," I said as I greeted all with a handshake.

"Are you okay though? Looked like a big one" George said with a tint of concern in his voice.

"You are not getting rid of me so soon, Georgie," I said when Nico joined us. "It looks like a full house. Let's get going," the media person said.

We entered and took our seats. I sat in between Max and Hulk. James Allen, who was the moderator, asked his questions to all the drivers and then came to me last.

"Ashley, I am coming to you. Thank you for waiting. Not a good start to the weekend. How are you and how is your garage?" he asked.

"I'm good, James. Thank you for asking. My trainer Theo made sure I was okay a hundred times," I said when the room chuckled a bit.

"As for the garage, it's been work, work, work," I said, singing Rihaana. "The car had extensive damage. I hope they'll get it done by this evening so that we can do the qualifying," I said.

"Ashley, going back to Bahrain. The race didn't go your way. Looks like you are a very good team player. But do you think without the team orders you could have gone for third place on the podium?" he asked.
