Third Person POV
The drivers had a blast with their partners in Lewis's penthouse. Charles, Carlos, Max, and Daniel played cards on the table. Alex, Lando, and George were playing video games. Pierre was nowhere to be seen with his girlfriends. The girls were making tiktoks and some were on phones. Ashley walked into the kitchen where she came in sight of Lewis.
"Hey! You good?" He asked her.
"Yeah. I am. This is good. To have everyone" she said. "George is a bit worried about you" he declared when her sight automatically fell on the other Mercedes driver. "I know. I tell him not to" she said.
"Well, he does. He cares for you, Ash," he said. Her heart hurt that she was hindering her friends. Lewis's phone started to ping. He looked at it, and her face lit up.
"Come with me," he said taking Ashley's hand. "Where to?" she asked. "You have a surprise" he declared. He took her to the middle of the living room.
"Guys! It's time!" he shouted to all the drivers and their partners. "Time for what?" Ashley asked again when everyone gathered. Lewis connected his laptop on the table to the projector, and the display appeared on the wall.
It seemed to be in front of the Eiffel in Paris. It focused on the women standing in front of it. Ash noticed the figure looked familiar.
"Is that....is that Sam?" she asked confused taking a few steps closer to the screen. Just then her brother entered the shot with Chloe beside him. He looked at the camera and gave a thumbs-up.
"Is this live?" Alex asked. "It is" Lewis declared. Sam was still looking at the tower when Matt crouched behind her, and Chloe handed out a small box.
"Oh My God!" Ashley said closing her mouth. The girls squealed together looking at the proposal. They watched as Samantha noticed what was happening behind her and she had the same shock reaction.
They couldn't hear what Matt was saying as the drivers and their partners buzzed with excitement. But with gestures, they understood Matt had asked the question.
"Say Yes" Daniel shouted when the others chorused him. Ashley felt her hands shiver a bit. Eventually, Sam gave a big nod and everyone around cheered loudly.
"Yesssssss!" Pierre shouted when Lando gave a big hug to Ashley wrapping his hands around her from the back. "Oh my God" was the only thing that came out of Ashley's mouth. She noticed Matt putting his phone to his ear and she searched for her phone knowing his brother was calling her.
Alex handed over her ringing phone to her. She attended the call and put it on speaker. "Congratulations!" everybody shouted together into her phone.
"Thank you! Thank you Guys" they heard Matt. "Matt! I am so happy" Ash said with an excited voice.
"Me too. Although I know I should have discussed with you beforehand, but I also wanted to surprise you and Sam..So"
"Well it worked. Sam, welcome to the family" Ashley added. "Pleasure's mine, Ash" Sam said.
"Hey, when are we getting the wedding invite?" Lando asked. "We are actually planning a summer wedding. And of course all of you are invited" Matt added. Everybody cheered again.
"Ash, we gotta go. How about you come back home and we discuss?" Matt asked his sister. "Yes Of course Matt. Have a good day" she said.
"Bye!" everyone shouted again when she cut the call. "We have a wedding to attend and do you know what that means?" Lexie asked to the other fellow women.
"Wedding Shopping" everybody cried. "Oh my God. Does this mean we wait hours and hours in front of dressing rooms?" Daniel asked eyes wide.
"Oh honey, you are gonna make a tent in front of those dressing rooms" Heid said when everybody laughed. Ash walked closer to Lewis wrapping her hands around him tightly.
