Third Person POV
George swiftly entered the house and searched around for her. He first went to her room and checked. The bathroom and then the kitchen. Once he made sure that he had checked the entire house lastly he went to the terrace knowing that she would be there.
He noticed that she was standing on the edge, her hands tied around her. "Ash" he called her out. She stood there in silence.
George gave out a sigh. He removed his jacket and put it on her. She snuggled into it a bit.
"Seems like you cannot succeed in everything around you," she said in a sad tone." I..I had to sacrifice something on all parts of my life for this. And I don't even get considered as a good driver" tears ran down her cheeks.
"Ash..." he sounded with a stern voice. She put her hand on her eyes covering her eyes and crying. Geroge pulled her towards him.
"Come here" he whispered and sat down on the ground pulling her with him. She muffled in his jacket. "It's ok" he whispered slowly rubbing her. "You are gonna be ok" he assured her.
He took her hand in his and noticed the scars on her palms from her nails. And it was evident that it was recent and pretty much an hour before. He slowly rubbed her palm with his thumb.
"Why is it always you that find me in the worst situations?" she asked sadly. He slowly rubbed her palms.
"Why do they always leave me, George? When Matt introduced Sam and her daughter, I thought I had a family again. I was so happy" She wiped the tears flowing down her cheek.
"It didn't even last a weekend," she said sadly. She placed her head on his shoulder. He held her hands for a few minutes until she calmed a bit. "Lando is gonna be so mad at Casey" she said with a small laugh trying to lift the mood. But George could see that she was struggling.
"He was a good guy, George," she said her voice cracking again. "Ash...you have to stop putting people above you," George said.
"I know...I just cannot" She buried her head in his shoulders again. George completely turned himself towards her so that he could hug her completely as she curled into his arms crying. George could feel her weeping.
"It's gonna be okay. I promise. You're gonna be okay" he slowly rubbed her back. It broke George to see how broken she was. She slowly stood up and straightened herself.
"I...I should rest. I have a flight tomorrow." she said giving out a large breath of air and wiping her face.
"Come on let's get you to bed," George said. "I...I'm fine Geroge. I don't wanna make you late. "I am sleeping in. I have my couch. Now come on" he said.
"Are you-"
"Yes, I am"
Both made their way downstairs. She opened the refrigerator and drank some water. They made it into her bedroom. She climbed onto the bed and George pulled the blanket on her. She made herself comfortable.
She got hold of her friend's hands. "Thank you" she whispered. He placed his other hand on hers. "That's what I am here for. You will get through this. I promise" He said. She gave a short nod.
"I am here. You can talk to me. You don't have to dwell on it yourself" he said holding her face. She gave a tightened smile. But he knew that she would never open up.
Once he confirmed that she was in deep sleep she slowly made his way outside and went straight to the couch.
