45 : Equally crazy for each other

I slowly fluttered open my eyelids, as a sharp ray of sunlight was falling on my face. Letting out a groan, I instinctively shielded my eyes from the dazzling brightness.

I touched my forehead, discovering a plush towel delicately folded & placed upon it.

I made an attempt to sit up, but felt a soft, warm palm holding my palm in a gentle yet firm grip. My eyes shifted towards the figure, who was seated on the floor, holding my hand.

It was Noor.

She had her head resting on the bed, as she was peacefully asleep.

But why was she sitting on the floor and sleeping in such a uncomfortable position?

I sat up straight and glanced down at my clothes and noticed that I had now changed into a warm, brown woolen sweatshirt and white pants.

Noor had also changed into fresh pastel purple night clothes.

The last thing I remember before passing out was coughing out a lot of water on the chopper.

Noor stirred a little in her sleep, as the bright sunlight was now falling on her face, casting a golden glow upon her beautiful skin.

she furrowed her eyebrows, irritated by bright sunlight.

I couldn't help but smile at her adorable expression.

I extended my other palm, creating a shield between sunlight and her face. Noor's tense expression softened, and she relaxed. Smiling faintly, she snuggled closer pressing her soft cheek on our connected hands.

My smile widened and I don't know for how long I just kept gazing at her gorgeous sleeping face.

Just by looking at her, I felt so nice and so peaceful.

I gently brushed my fingers on the side of her forehead, in an attempt to tug the hair strands behind her ear, which was blocking my view.

She suddenly stirred up, In an instant, she was sitting upright straight, her eyes wide open. Our gazes immediately got locked.

Green to grey.

" Addin how are you feeling ? Are you feeling nauseous ? " Noor asked hurriedly getting up and sitting beside me on the bed.

She placed her whole palm on my forehead, pushing my front hair back, making me blink. She moved forward to grab something from the bed side table.

I glanced at the bed side table to see, thermometers, white folded towels and bowl of water placed on it.

Noor placed the thermometer between my lips, slightly inside my mouth, making me blink some more.

She placed her palm on my forehead, and waited for few seconds with worried laced face. All I could do was stare at her.

She took the thermometer and examined it. Her palm still on my forehead.

"Thank God, fever has gone down compared to the last night." she huffed out in relief.

Don't tell me that she was up all night taking care of me?

My heart thudded inside my chest, beating against my ribcage at an insane level.

" but you still have slight fever." She continued. Worry and care evident in her voice.

" how are you feeling? Are you feeling any better now? " She asked.
