I sat back and watched my two little princesses Ayat and Amal, who are 7 years old now, holding huge makeup brush in their respective small hands and mischievously applying a coat of blush on their babie brother's cheeks.
Rizwan Shah, My cute adorable little boy, who is 5 years old.
Amal and Ayat have features similar to Noor and they resemble her a lot. They are as gorgeous and pretty as Noor! Meanwhile, Rizwan looks exactly like me. He bears a strong resemblance to me. He has a cute, handsome face, and the same grey eyes as mine, which makes him even more charming.
I watched as they carefully brushed eye shades onto his eyelids and created two tiny piggies in his smooth, straight hair.
With excitement, they turned him towards the mirror and exclaimed together in unison.
" Look, babie brother! You look so pretty!" They had positioned him on the stool of the dressing table, standing on either side, beaming with joy.
Rizwan, feeling a bit deceived, cried out and jumped into my arms. I was sitting on the bed, trying to contain my laughter.
Ayat and Amal giggle out loud and started jumping together with delight, their hair bouncing as they hop.
Both of them had beautiful coffee brown hair, with Ayat's adorned with soft curls and Amal's smooth and straight. They were dressed in adorable little white floral short dresses, which had pastel purple flower prints.
I chuckled at the two little devil's mischievous, and Rizwan got up from my arms and stood on the bed, he grew even more upset, thinking I was laughing at him.
Before I could say anything, Noor entered the room, saying.
" Hey you three! stop bullying my cute little babie." She swiftly picked Rizwan up in her arms, and he immediately hugged her tightly by snaking his tiny arms around her and burying his face into her neck.
"Look, Mama! Ayat Aapi and Amal Aapi fooled me by saying they'd make me look handsome, but just look at what they did to me! Rizwan is not a girl, so he shouldn't have makeup on right, Mama?" he complained in his soft babie voice to his mother.
[ Aapi is a term used in some South Asian cultures, including Urdu and Hindi, to address an older sister ]
"Yes, babie! Your sisters can be quite mischievous. But don't feel bad love, they're just trying to annoy you," she consoled him and took few wet wipes, gently wiping his cheeks and eyes with them.
"Okay, Mama," he replied, kissing her cheek, making Noor smile.
Rizwan then looked at me and said, "Baba was laughing at me, Mama! and he didn't even stop Amal and Ayat Aapi." He complained, and Noor gave me a glare. Noor sat on the bed with Rizwan in her lap.
"Don't worry, babie, I'll teach your baba a very good lesson," she said, glaring at me sharply, making me gulp and smile nervously.
Amal and Ayat jumped into my arms, sitting on my lap, and said together, "Don't worry, baba, Amal and Ayat will protect you from mama!" They both stretched out their small hands in front of me, as if shielding me from Noor.
"Huh! You can't protect baba from my mama!Uuuuuooouuuu," Rizwan teased, sticking his tongue out.
"Oyy, Rizuuu, don't you dare pull your tongue out at us! " Ayat warned.
