Didn't Understand, Didn't Know

(Rachel's POV)

It had been a few days since I had encountered an amnesiac Ira on the beach, and I was wondering if he was alright.

He hadn't fought us in awhile, so I thought maybe the other mercinares had punished him, or something.

Maybe he was embarrassed, not that I would tease him. But, for some reason, I was worried.

"Rachel!" Rory yelled at me.

"What?" I said jumping out of my thoughts.

"I've tried to talk to you five times. Five times, Rachel!" Rory yelled. 

"Oh, sorry..." I said looking down at the table I was sitting at.

"Anyways, when are you going to make lunch? I'm hungry." Rory said crossing his arms.

"Right." I laughed at his command.

I went over to the kitchen and started making some bacon.

"Are you thinking about Ira?" Rory asked out of nowhere.

"Uh!?" I was shocked at his sudden thought.

"You have to be, you've been zoning out ever since you helped with his amnesia." Rory said.

"No?" I lied.

"...Whatever." Rory growled.

I finished making his bacon and he immediately ate all of it.

"..."

"A DARK HEARTBEAT!!!" Rory yelled out of the silence.

"Where?!" I yelled.

"DOESN'T MATTER! TRANSFORM!!" Rory yelled waving his paws in the air.

(After transforming✨)

Everyone, except Natalie, was already at the scene. I just assumed she was late or, maybe, was mad at me.

"Hey guys... Sorry about yelling at you..." I whispered to the other Glitter Warriors.

I hadn't seen them in a while, because we were on summer break. And I was not in the mood to talk to them go and talk to them, after they had been mad about me helping Ira with his amnesia. 

"It's alright, Diamond, you didn't mean to hurt us, I hope." Clover asked in her sweet tone.

"Yeah!" Heart said, "You had a good reason to, too!"

"Thanks..." I said, a small smile spreading on my face.

"I understand why you did it..." Spade started, "but I don't think I'm ready to forgive you, just yet."

"I understand," I said putting my hand on her shoulder, "I assumed you or Ace would say that."

"I don't think Ace is ready to forgive you at all..." Heart said sounding discouraged.

"Yeah, we had gone to her house, the past few days, and she's not happy." Spade said.

"Would you Glitter brats stop whispering and fight already!?" Ira shouted.

Oh, it's Ira.... I thought half, for some reason, excited, half sad.

"I was woken up early, because some idiot decided it was my turn to fight, and I'm not in the mood to!!!" Ira shouted angrily.

I slightly laughed, quiet enough so no one would hear.

"I didn't even get to have coffee..." I heard him mumble.

"..." There was a small silence as the Distain stood there, not moving.

"Distain! Attack already! Don't just stand there!!!" Ira shouted.

The Distain started running towards us.

Heart jumped into the air and easily twirled and kicked the Distain, which made him stumble backwards.

Then Spade shot it with one of her special moves, which, right after it had just got up, made it stumble, again.

And while the other were all caught up in the fight, with Clover now acting like a shield, I turned towards Ira, who was looking tiredly at the fight.

He was sitting crisscross in the air, with his head resting on his hand.

"Ira!" I shouted it him.

He slightly jumped, even the he was floating.

"What do you want, Diamond?" Ira asked stubbornly.

"Not much, I just want to know what had happened that day." I said.

"...'What happened'..? What you talking about?" Ira asked raising an eyebrow.

"Don't you remember?" I asked.

"What?" He said confused.

"...The beach..?" I said as if it were obvious.

He looked shocked as if he didn't know I knew that, but that didn't make sense.

Ira floated down until he was about two-ish feet away from me.

"How do you know that?" He whispered harshly.

"What?"

"How in the world do you know that?!" He whispered again.

"Diamond!" Heart shouted, "A little help?!"

"Coming!" I turned to start running to the fight, but I felt a hand grab my wrist.

I turned to see Ira glaring at me.

"If you dare tell anyone about that, I might not be so nice to let you guys win every time." Ira said letting my arm go.

"As if you were going easy on us." I whispered under my breath, still confused.

I walked over to the other Glitter Warriors, and we easily finished off the Distain.

(Time skip, because I'm not in the mood to write a long chapter✨)

I was confused as I walked home. Why'd he act like he didn't know? I asked myself.

The second I closed the front door, I realized why he had acted that way.

Why hadn't I thought of this before? It was obvious.
