first of all, thank you so much for reading this story!
in second place, this book has been on my mind for a long time. my main focus was to make something different from the cliché of 'my brother's bestfriend' that i have been reading – where the little sister is timid and totally head-over-heels in love with her brother's bestfriend, she has the most perfect relationship with her brother who, most of the time, is full-on overprotective about her.
however, i wrote this piece of work as what i hope a gulf of fresh air – the main character has some boundaries which is way more realistic, she lets him know her feelings and, when rejected, she finds herself deeply hurt, which on top of other problems result in her seeking hope in somewhere else, in this case, alcohol.
also, elise doesn't have a good relationship with her family, especially with her brother, christopher, which is perfectly reasonable. she makes a reckless decision with the intetion to hurt her brother and ends up discovering a new way to see things with devyn.
to conclude, i see this story as a different aproach on the matter of 'my brother's best friend' and, also, how you can take control over your life.by the way, this book will have adult scenes so be aware, i sure will try to write well. and, also, i plan on having a lot of descriptions to make it more pleasing to read.
p.s. my native language is not english therefore i may have some spelling mistakes.
love,
miss sugar bubbles
