"my off-shoulder grey mesh"
through elise hamptondevyn and i had already finished our meal. we waited for the check to arrive at our table. once it did he tried to pay for it but i refused, giving my credit card to the waiter before he could.
as the man walked away devyn said "i could have paid for that elise"
i responded, slightly tipsy from all the wine we had drank "let me, it was the least i could do" my voice sounded light-headed.
"christopher must be wondering where we are" he said. soon we were walking out of the restaurant. i could tell he was as tipsy as i was by his walk.
we approached the car, our walk in synchrony.
"what do you say about going to the beach, devyn?" i licked my lips, my eyes fluttering towards his.
"now?"
"yes, we can stop by a café and then lay by the sun"
we exchanged glances, the corners of his lips finally curling up once the car engine came to life.
-
and we did as we planned. the sun was setting when devyn became aware of the time.
the orange-ish color adorned the sky, the sun trespassing the line of the horizon. we had bought a white sunshade on a store near, we then laid the whole evening in its guard from the burning sun.
devyn's naked chest graced my arm as he put himself on his elbow. his shirt was nowhere to be found, at least i didn't pay a tiny bit of attention to its location.
most people had already packed their things. the kids that passed by yelped feeling the hot sand on their feet, soon their parents would pick them up in their laps and they would stroll away to the faraway parking lot. or the couples of elderly people that took a single dive in the cold sea water and headed towards their big gardened homes.
throughout all those encounters, devyn and i continued in our very much appreciated shadow.
i could feel the grains of sand on my whole body. they invaded the fabric of my tee-shirt and my mini skirt, its warmness gracing my skin.
"maybe we should get going" his relaxed voice spoke.
"no, let's stay" i answered, opening my eyes. they quickly made contact with his ones. we stared at each other for some time as he admired the blue of my pupils.
he was resting his head on his hand besides me.
my gaze ran his features slowly - his hair, his eyes, his nose, his cheekbones and his lips. it lingered on them. he noticed it too.
the sunset shone on his back, the rest of its light covering his frame.
my heartbeat quickened.
his muscles flexed once he leaned down, a warm hand gracing my waist. i felt his breath coming closer and i couldn't help but push my back up, bringing my lips to his sweet ones. my elbows supported my weight.
i ran my fingers through his loose curls, his body settling on top of mine. the kiss was slow, our movements sensual while our mouths met each other. lowering my hand, i found his abdominals. i traced the large muscles, enjoying the way his skin felt against my own.
this scene resembled a movie one, the sunset and devyn kissing me.
he broke the kiss. our passion lingering in the air.
i gave him a smile of tender eyes. sighing, i ran my hands along his arms. however it wasn't my normal sigh, it was a happy sigh. i liked how he kissed me. i could tell the beer we had an hour ago was affecting me in a way. how come i would love so much how a guy kisses me otherwise?
