“the lake”
through elise hamptonmy eyes popped open. i heard snores besides me and my gaze found a bearded man, shirtless.
i took my hands to my eyes slowly.
"oh god" i rapidly got out of bed, just to notice my naked body. this room was a mess, it seemed like a dormroom. i gathered my sprawled clothing and zipped up the dress from last night. half way through, i heard this drowsy voice ask "who are you?" i looked back to see his eyelids opening, reveling his blue tinted eyes.
i looked at his naked chest before questioning "could you give me a ride?"
his brows rose as he stood up, his member swinging around.
"sure i think" he took his clothes out off his closet. i took the time and looked around – there were numerous posters of frat sorotities and i noticed what i hope was our condom.
i cringed.
a terrible headache was shaking my brain at this point. the guy finally came to view and i followed behind him.
"what's your name?" he asked, looking back once we walked through the hall. i stopped gazing at the wooden floor and responded "elise"
"you were the one dressed as a disco ball?" his eyes squinted as if he was guessing. i nodded "okay, got it"
we came out of the house and i followed him to his car. the ride was silent, however my thoughts were very much loud.
all i could think was how christopher would annoy to death once he sees me on my walk of shame. he is probably still screwing some girl anyway.
i looked at the man besides me, his hair was quite a mess but i still understood why i went to bed with him. i don't really remember much of last night though, nor did he, i could tell. the last memory i could think of was sucking devyn off.
the car halted to a stop and i thanked the guy, sliding out in a short moment. i walked quickly towards the front entrance, i cursed after understanding i had no key with me. i knocked on the door two times and soon it opened.
my hands were held against my lap as i waited.
devyn stared back at me. he was wearing boxers and a tee-shirt. his bicep flexed as he held the door, leaning against it.
"where were you?" his monotone tone spoke, his eyes glinted with this feeling i have never seen in him – jealousy.
the brown of his pupils looked enraged once his gaze fell on my short dress.
"i do not know" last night was a blur. completely.
he glanced at me.
"you were drunk enough that you don't remember, is that it?"
"yes"
"so you don't remember making out with a pirate on the staircase?" his eyes glinted angrily. his voice had this accusing tone i couldn't put my finger on.
i sighed, passing under his extented arm. despite my best attempts, his familiar cologne distracted me.
i walked upstairs, the feeling of nausea taking over me. i have never seen devyn like this.
he's always so calm, this new behavior of his surprises me. i mean it's my business who i sleep with, since when does that have anything to do with him?
i pushed my door open, ignoring the current mess my bedroom had transformed into and walking into my bathroom.
not again.
