Pauline cant stop the tears falling on her face.
Why..? She cant understand why Min hates her. She remembers when they were young her younger brother adores her and always follow her anywhere.
" sis when I grow up I will be your protector..I love you so much."
He said while holding her face after she slipped while playing at the park.
Shes taken to the present when she heard Min slam the door as he went out of the house and hurriedly drive his car away. Pauline followed him, shes afraid he might hurt himself.
She followed him to the bar.
He approach his group -Yonghwa, Shin and Hyun drinking in their favorite seat.
" Hey Min your late!" Shin shout at him. They have to speak like that so they can hear each other.
The sound inside the bar is so loud and there are a lot of people dancing.
" Bro..hows your sister? Shes not answering my calls" Yonghwa ask him and he just shrug his shoulders.
Pauline entered the bar and look around till her eyes adjusted to the dim light. She found Min's group and she quietly sit on the table behind them drinking orange juice. She knows shes eavesdropping but shes so concerned with her brother.
After almost an hour and a case of beer later, Min is slurring his words.
" hey your drunk, man!" Hyun said laughing at Min.
Yonghwa went to the comfort room and Shin is dancing with a girl.
" I-im not..*hik*...you know what Im really *hik* sad for Yong *hik*.." - min
" huh? Why?" - Hyun
" my s-sister..shes not that great..*hik*... I am the youngest..*hik* you know in families the youngest is favorite..
but in my case..*hik* they hate my guts. Its all because ofe her. Shes a bitch! " He said and drink all the contents of his glass.
" its because *hik* she told them Im a slacker and a womanizer..*hik* "
" oh really? well what she said is true anyway... Youve slept with half of the girls from highschool...why are you mad?" Hyun said smiling and not taking Min's word seriously.
" Im not...like this..you know me..*hik*.. I changed.... Its been along time ago when I acted *hik* like a jerk..but they didnt forget..*hik* didnt see that Ive changed.." Min 's voice is so low but anger is evident in it.
Pauline bit her lip. Remembering what happened. It was during Min's last week in highschool. He is in the top of his class and will be graduating with honors.
She's a fresh graduate and got a job. She wanted to surprise him so she went home after getting her first paycheck.
She bought him a cake and went to his room to surprise him.
What she found out shock her.
A girl was sleeping with Min! The only thing covering their bodies is a thin sheet.
She remembered the rumor about Min being a playboy. Sleeping with any beautiful girl who will agree to get on his bed and this is the proof. It should have been ok. But on the floor are papers with the key questions and answers on their finals.
She got the papers, not believing that Min is cheating and went to her room. She waited till their parents went out before she confronted her brother.
He was talking to someone on the phone when she went to his room.
" What is the meaning of this ?" She asked him keeping her voice calm although shes so angry right time.
" what?" He ask her as he snatch the paper shes holding.
" I found this on this floor a while ago.." She told him.
" this is not mine.." He said as he look at her. " and Im talking on the phonr so can please get out.."
" im not going out..you have to give me a good reason why this paper is with you. You dont need this..Youre intelligent Min!" She said getting angry at his attitude.
" I already told you this is not mine..wait..." Min stop talking remembering Mich, the girl he slept with looking for something before she left in a hurry.
" what? Now you remembered that you purposely cheat?" She ask him.
He was going to say something but he stop because just then, their parents entered his room.
" what?! " they were both surprised when their father shout. He went to Min and got the paper from his hand. Then he look at Min and without saying anything he punch his face.
