Pauline and Dhezzy met each other in a convention for bakers two years ago in LA.
Dhezzy was working at a publishing house as a proof reader but she loves to cook and bake. She always join online groups and workshops about baking. They both attended the convention and became friends when the speaker ask to form groups of two and bake a cake that will showcase both persons personalities.
They created a fusion cake with strawberry flavour and chocolate filling which they both love. They won second place and has been inseparable eversince.
Dhezzy is a bubbly person and loves to bring baked goodies to work. Cupcakes are her specialty that she shares with her officemates. One of her officemate asked her to bake her daughters birthday cake and it became a hit.
Three months after the convention, Pauline quit her job as assistant manager to a restaurant and decided to sell cakes online. Knowing Dhezzy's success with her officemates, they form a team.
Now three years after, Angels'cakes is a bestseller. They use a courier to deliver the orders and didnt put their names online for a reason.
Pauline has been hiding from her family. After listening to Min that night, she left. She knows that their father will give her position in the company to Min. She didnt even write a goodbye letter. She thought disappearing would be beneficial for her brother.
Leaving is the best solution for her so they can all move on. She cant forgive herself for what happened between Min and their father and she knew if shes out of the picture, her parents will acknowledge her brothers' success.
" sorry Dhez maybe Im just tired.." Pauline sigh as she close her eyes and lean on her chair.
They are in the living room of the condo that they share.
" hmm.. Really? So this isnt about the news that Yonghwa Jung is engaged?" Dhezzy said looking her friends reaction.
" tsss.." Pauline said and shake her head in annoyance. " Dhezzy.. Im not in the mood for your jokes ok?"
" ok. Ok. I get it. Im zipping my mouth." Then Dhezzy placed the notebook in front of her friend.
" whats this?" - pauline
" the inventory is on page four. And the next order's on page five." -dhezzy
Pauline concentrate on the reports while Dhezzy sip from her cafe americano.
She knows Paulines' story and frankly shes upset with Min. She understand that Min is unhappy about what happend but asking your sister to give up your happiness is 100% crazy. She has brothers too being the only girl in their family, but her brothers want her to he happy.
Thats the reason why shes with Pauline. Her brothers help her escape from a loveless marriage setup by their parents. They even send her money every month.
