After two weeks and Paulines stable condition, shes discharged from the hospital.
Dhezzy and her brother was there to bid them goodbye at LAX.
" take good care of her Yonghwa. If you make her cry Im gonna skin you alive!" She said and yonghwa laugh at her.
" arent you going home? " he asked and Dhezzy nose wrinkle.
" whose gonna take care of business here?" She said but Pauline know the truth.
Thor hug her. " baby take care ok? Thanks for keeping watch on cupcake while youre here. Be happy."
Pauline nod her head and smile. Thor has become a good friend and he and Yonghwa will be partners on a new publishing venture. John went to the hospital once but he left right away. Pauline cant help but notice Dhezzy's lonely gaze at him when hes not looking at she confronted her about it.
" He is the reason why Im with you." She said and told her the story behind her reluctance to go home.
" what if youre wrong Dhez? What if he really loves you?" She said but Dhezzy is stubborn.
" I heard him Pauee. He said he will not be tied down to a bitch like me. He doesnt even know me and he already has that opinion of me..."
" what really hurts is that, he was so sweet at camp when we were twelve. He doesnt even remember that..." Her eyes are full of hurt and Pauline hug her.
" Ready Mrs Jung?" Yonghwas voice pull her out of her thoughts as they enter the ramp to board the plane.
She nod her head and Yonghwa kiss her temple. She look at her hands and the light caught on the gold band encircling her finger. They were married at the hospital last week.
" I dont want to take the chance that you'll leave me again." She remembered Yonghwas reason for the speedy marriage ceremony. She doesnt mind though.
Min didnt come back after that day and she really misses her brother. She hoped that he has forgiven her but it seems he still holds a grudge.
Shin and John were there as witnesses together with Dhezzy and Thor and they ate afterwards inviting all the nurses and doctors at that floor.
