Chapter 33 - I regret

YN PoV

It was a pleasant morning and I was working peacefully until I received a call. Since it was my working time, I didn't mind to pick it nor did I check the caller ID. But I couldn't just digest it when my phone rang thrice in a row causing my patient to look at me and she asked me to pick up the call. I was so embarassed when the middle aged lady asked me to do so.

But I said that it was ok and I was checking her vitals, but again the call disturbed me. I closed my eyes in frustration and I excused myself before checking who the hell was calling me at this hour.

My anger doubled seeing the caller ID. It was my husband, I wondered why would he call me like this in a row, that too at this hour. I also noticed Jinhyuk's missed call too. I mentally thanked Jinhyuk because he was matured enough to not call me again after I didn't answer the call, but my husband is too adamant I guess.

I answered the call immediately and tried my level best not to shout or curse any profanities at him for disturbing my work. Even before I could say something he spoke,

Jk - I had to do this because you weren't picking up my call. Guess someone pitied me because of my situation and asked you to pick the phone. Anyway, this is to inform you that there's a party of one of my friend at 7pm and you have...... Mhmm... 5 hours from now to get ready ok? Well your driver has already arrived at the entrance and make sure you wear something which is not too revealing as in the previous party.

I was completely zoned out listening to him. I excused myself again and walked towards the window for a privacy. I peeked and saw Mr. Minjin has already arrived and was waiting for me.

YN - are you kidding me huh? Why the hell you didn't say it yesterday itself? It's the second time that i have to hurry for the damn party. Also, I'm in between the consultation and I have patients to take care of. So I won't be coming today.

Jk - c'mon, the person who is sitting in your cabin is your last patient and you can check it with your HR. She is a kind lady who arranged every patients to other fellow doctors in your hospital with just a simple phone call. And I'm so sorry that I forgot mentioning it to you. So be a good girl and come with me as Jeon YN.

I was not the one to simply give up. Again he did the same mistake and I need to play hard and see how he will persuade me to come anyway. I smirked and said,

YN - still it's a no. You know selecting a dress is really a hard task and the makeup... Hell it's so time consuming. I don't think 5 hours are enough for me. So drop the idea of taking me with you to your so called friend's party.

I completely forgot that I had a patient waiting for me to come back to her because I was blinded by my ego. Ego which I really love to use against him because I was a fan of the way he persuades me especially at the end, the way he dominates me.

Jk - I know that you are playing hard baby. But if you don't come today, then I will have to take some other girl with me to replace you. So guess it's not a big deal to me.

This was something which I didn't expect from his side. That man was really making me jealous and to my surprise it worked. I couldn't digest the fact that he would replace me with someone just to save his day. My grip on the phone tightened and I was completely caught red-handed now. I have to give up my ego. But I will definitely plan something else soon.

YN - you know what, fuck you....

I heard him laughing at the other side and not to lie, his laugh was enough for me to forget my surroundings. I hung up the call and that's when I realized that she had been waiting for me about 10-15 minutes. I mentally slapped myself and walked upto her Mumbling sorry to her.
