After reflecting on the development of therapy, Taro makes a mysterious phone call to Ms. Lin, the current project manager of "Sunglasses" in Singapore.
During a "Fake Kiss" rehearsal, Mulan is unable to get int the mood, Cowboy is forced to interrupt due to a coughing fit, Yurina withdraws in a corner with a cute girl, Yukiko, giggling and joking like a boy: Mulan feels alone and jealous.
During a break at school, Saverio is approached by the two men in black, who ask him in Italian if he knows a Dr. Bertini Mario; Saverio denies it, as for him he knows only a Mario, the rest is not his business.
At the therapy session, the family is finally free to talk about the deceased daughter, mostly with Dr Kawakami who leads the first part of the meeting; when Dr Bertini arrives, Mr. Ootani asks him if he does not think it would be appropriate for him, Taro, to spend more time at home, with his son; at these words his wife stiffens. She consider the Singapore option as vital for the economic well being of the family, consequently for the future of Karouji. As an answer, the therapist makes everyone sit on the floor and enacts a kind of mythical performance, in which he acts as a shaman, letting the answer to the question 'float in the air, available to all'. After the session, Dr Kawakami tells Dr Bertini that the day before someone came asking for him. Dr Bertini thinks she refers to the two men in black, and decides to open up to her: he is in the midst of a midlife crisis: his children have left home, his wife would like to change apartment, but most importantly, the association of family therapists of which he is the treasurer has been implicated in a series of tax irregularities, and he must be held personally accountable. The penalties are heavy, he risks to lose everything, so when the opportunity arose he saw fit to flee to Japan. The men in black in all likelihood were sent by the Italian IRS.
Dr Kawakami understands, and still tells him that it was not the men in black who had sought him out, but a boy, whose name is Saverio.
