Mulan and Yurina finally make love, in the booth of an all-night manga shop.
Mario Bertini makes a brief foray to his out-of-town apartment to get his few belongings and move; he is worried that the men in black will find him before the therapy is over.
At the Fake Kiss rehearsal, Karouji does not come dressed as Yurina but as a boy, which irritates Mulan, who is already nervous because he feels he must replicate the success of the outdoor concert: he understands that even playing in a punk band carries responsibility, and feels a sense of duty toward Cowboy. After the rehearsal is over, Karouji finally explains to Saverio his problems, explains the therapy, and tells about the doctor who is treating him and his family. Saverio is touched by this revelation; he realizes that even in Japan, the land of dreams, there are unhappy and misfit people, like him. On his way home on the subway, the woman in green appears to him, making him question whether he should not admit once and for all that - beyond the crossdressing thing - he is clearly homosexual
In the therapy session, Dr. Bertini, through a long and complex metaphor about planets, has confirmation that there is someone in the Ootani family who until now has not been talked about: the very ghost that Dr. Kawakami had seen. The revelation comes through Karouji, his mother tries to shush him, a quarrel breaks out at the end of which Mrs Ootani leaves the room. All happy, because the therapy has turned around, Dr. Bertini follows Ms. Ootani in the corridor. She does not want the story of the ghost to be discussed, to protect her husband, she says.
Karouji is also shaken, he goes to meet Mulan as Yurina at a 'love hotel', where during their love fantasizes a murder-suicide, but then reconsiders the metaphor of the planets, remember the words of therapist Dr Bertini, and decides to move on with a new life.
At the clinic, Dr Kawakami reveals to Dr Bertini that she has figured out who the ghost is: five years after Karouji's birth, a girl named Yurina had been born, but died after only one month of life.
