Ivanna's POV
*Time Skip*
Truly, the drawing is beautiful. The attention to detail is insane, and it looks so real. My favorite part is Boris' eyes.
The reason it's my favorite part (rather than the smoke coming off the cigarette or the beautiful shading where the moonlight hits my face) is the fact that they look so alive.
Like there's something beautiful dancing in his eyes. A look of happiness and bliss. Any time my friends have a look like that, I feel so proud of them.
Why? I have no clue. But I always have, especially with friends like Boris.
"Iva?"
I snap back into focus, pulling my eyes away from the picture hanging on the wall and back to William, who drew my attention from my bedroom floor.
"Done staring?" William smirks, and I laugh.
"It is very pretty."
"It's been there for three weeks!"
"Still beautiful. Sorry, what's up?"
William laughs. "Boris was talking about some party this weekend."
"Oh. Yeah, I'm free."
"Great! It's a safe party."
William looks at Boris confused. "What's a safe party?"
Boris smiles at him. "It is party with no drugs or alcohol. For those who have hurt. Those who want to be safe."
"Oh, I see."
"Thought it would be good for your first party."
William smiles at Boris. "Thank you, Boris."
"Of course, William. We care about you. We want you safe."
*The Next Morning At School*
"There."
We walk towards the yellow pizza van, arriving as the doors open, Jane and William stepping out.
"Hi guys!"
"Hello Jane!"
She smiles at us and hurries off to her locker.
"Alright, let's get this over with."
Boris laughs. "Good morning to you too, William."
"Ugh! I did not sleep last night."
Indeed, William did look quite tired. His smile was exhausted, not forced, just tired.
"Sorry to hear that, Цветок. Only two days then weekend!"
William laughs now, a relieved sound. "Thank God."
We enter the classroom. I don't remember ever stopping at our lockers, but all of our stuff is taken care of. It's crazy how time passes sometimes.
