~..~..~
I look back, confused. Why was the room so quiet all of a sudden? Everyone is looking at me with a kind of fear I've never seen before, like there in some sort of shock. So, because of this, I ask, "What's wrong?" No one responds to me. They just stare at me and back to the Nimora to see the power I've earned. All of their faces are etched with concern, worry, and fear. No one gives me a response, not even the girl. However, the girl just had a plain look of emptiness on her face.
Finally, Alexander walks over to me and hisses to me, "Ripley, I want you to not tell anyone about your power." He sounds as though he's unsure of himself, and he has his hands on my shoulders to relax. I slowly process this as my brain starts to grip to his words. I gulp in my throat and I'm finally able to say, "Okay." The room seems as though it's getting colder, even though nothing is happening. A question nags me, and since I couldn't keep my mouth shut again, I ask with a hint of urgency and confusion, "But why? What's wrong with my power?"
No one responds to me. Everyone in the room is darting eyes toward each other, like they're talking in some sort of morse code, while I am just sitting in this chair, confused. The girl's eyes finally lock on mines as I look at her. She then says, "I'll bring you to your room, and I'll get your friend." She walks toward the door, expecting me to follow her. I do so, only because I don't like the situation that I was in, and it was quite awkward.
When we're outside, I immediately blurt out to her, "What's wrong with my power?" I didn't mean to sound rude; it just came out uncontrollably. She finally looked at me and said, "Nothing is wrong your power, just don't tell anyone about it." She said this with an icy cold glare at me, and kept walking, slightly shaken. I didn't question anything else as I followed her.
We walked down the silent hallways of the academy. It was dark and the white windows hung over her and I like shadows waiting to scare. They show moonlight on both of our faces. Just looking at her more, she looked even more cute with her straight hair in the back, and she was walking swiftly.
While the girl and I walked through the halls, I had a sudden idea pop up in my head. Since we were students here, I guessed I could have gotten to know her. I asked her, "Hey, what's your name?" She looked at me with a look of confusion and disgust and snarled, "Is this some sort of interrogation?" "W-what, no!" I stammered, my whole mind blurring slightly. "Then why are you asking?" She inquired. "Because I was just wondering, sorry." I say, and we keep walking in silence.
When we finally reach the principal's office again, I'm whirling in thought. Why did my power shock everyone in the room? Is everyone still in the room? Why can't I tell anyone about my power? My mind hurts with this much thought because it doesn't make any sense. Does this have anything to do with the ghost in the principal's office? The girl opened the door, the door making a slight creak, and lit up the room with the light switch. Mike was still in the same position, staring up at the ceiling, obviously impatiently about to fuss.
