Nathan Hale Administration Building
History of Super Powers Classroom
755 Hours
January 17
After entering the room I decided to sit in the 3rd row, which was basically the middle of the class. I sat my stuff down beside me as I took a seat in one of the chairs. The room was quite big as it was a circular shape with a glass dome for a ceiling. The walls were grey from paint with bricks and the ceiling lamps were white.
I looked at our history teacher at the front, who had long blond hair and mystical emerald green eyes. She had multiple machines and plants on her desk that sat at the front of the room. She was sitting in her chair in the front of the class smiling broadly. After 5 minutes, more kids were already in the classroom and class finally started.
"Hello students!" Boomed mrs Canda in an enthusiastic tone. "Hello mrs. Canda.." the class replied back, trailing off in boredom. Some kids fell asleep right away in her class while others payed intent attention to the lesson.
Mrs Canda gave me a new look when she searched the room, a bigger smile creasing her face in broad joy. "I would like to introduce the new student!" She called. She then begged me to stand in front of the class to introduce myself, so I nervously and meekly walked over to the front.
"How about you introduce yourself?" She asked politely. I shook my head timidly and said lowly, "I-I'm Benjamin Ripley." She gave me a small pat on the back and said, "That's good! You can go sit down now."
The class snickered at my stuttering when I sat down. I just put my head down on the table to show that I was embarrassed. Mrs. Canda gave everyone a sharp look and everyone's mouths tied shut immediately.
"Ok class so today..," was the usual hearing that I heard. This hearing sadly came out of Mrs. Canda's mouth. However, it wasn't very rare as a start. I watched everything Mrs. Canda did, but I was starting to get bored now, trying to do things to past the time, like doing calculus in my head.
Even though this morning I promised myself to pay attention in all of my classes and take notes to know what was happening, I had a feeling that most of these classes were going to be boring, just like this class.
I was doing this method until she started talking about chances of powers. That had me interested. Some of the kids started to actually listen to her as she talked about the subject, and I was one of them.
"Ok class, so most superpowers are given to people who truly are worthy of the power, but here are also percentages for the power that a person can get. I, who has been doing this for years, will be showing the average percentile for most people. It may have been different for you, however, so don't fret!"
She turned a new, green and brown board to our eyes to show us all the percentage rates for each power. The percentages were written in white chalk. I was quite startled at all the powers available to get.
"If you know me, I have the nature power, and that power is a 50 percent chance to get. All the elementals are 50 percent chance because they are so simple and yet match a person's personality so much." Mrs. Canda went down the list of powers, but a few truly caught my attention. Mrs. Canda would explain the percentage of the power and the backstory of the power and its creator.
For example, there could be the gravitational setting. That power had a 2.5 percent chance to get out of everyone overall. The gravitational setting power was quite overpowered in the real world. The person who created it was Fenorenam E. The person was looked up as a hero because they made such a good power. Although, the power can be used for bad also.
