Nathan Hale Administration Building
Hospital Wing
258 Hours
January 18th
"Rise and shine sleepy boy." I heard a gruntled voice say.
Have you ever been woken up to the pain and anxiety of being shot right in the face? Well, I just did, and this was worse than the time when my cousin drove his knee extremely hard into my leg, hurting me greatly and forcing me to jolt awake to my nice nap. Ouch.
I jolted my eyes open to see a tall man holding a gun right toward my face. It seemed to be a pistol. Wow, today is not my lucky day. He had a black mask over his head that seemed to be a stretched out beanie. He only had on dark green gloves that didn't match, but was situated in all black clothes to blend in with the shadows.
The window above me had the curtains swiped away from eachother, revealing a full moon. The moon shined just above my face, and mixes of bright silver and dark blue filled the hospital room to the curtain walls. It was like a fantasy, except, there is nothing good about it at this moment.
I instinctively try to scream, but I realize a woman with a neatly-tied brown bun quickly puts her hand over my mouth so I can't alarm anyone. Like her partner, she had on all black clothes and a stern glare marked all over her face, pointing at me. Her eyes were crescent blue, like the shimmering ocean reflected by the sun.
My eyes try to dart toward any exits or escape routes, but I didn't seem to see any in this current situation. I didn't know who these people were, why they were here, or even what they wanted, but I would most likely have to listen to them if I wanted to make it out alive.
"If you scream, I'll kill you." The woman scorned, pulling out and pointing a new, shiny army knife toward my neck, nodding it forward to touch my bare skin. I nod my head to let them know, and the woman puts the knife back in her waist pocket in her utility belt. However, she still had her hand near her pocket and other utilities to cling to if I tried to dart or scream, which was pretty smart.
I start to breathe heavy in fear. I don't even know what these people were doing here! Were they burglars? Why did they come for me? How were they even able to slip through all of the CISA to get here?! The man looks at me with pure curiosity etched everywhere on his face and says, "Never heard someone with this new power before."
I was drowned out of my thoughts for a split second, looking up at him, confused. My eyebrows burrowed closely as I tried to understand. If I had a "new power" then wouldn't that be the future-seeing power, or something else? It matched up everything that had been going on currently, so it all made sense, like a puzzle, to put it together.
The woman gave the man a fired glare and hissed in an angered tone, "This mission isn't going to go well if you don't just start with asking him! There are CISA agents everywhere!" The man started to pucker down in fear, shaking slightly and backing away a little, but still close enough to shoot at me.
After a few moments passed, the woman took a deep breath to calm her nerves down. After that, the woman looked at me and demanded, "How do you use your time traveling power." Her face showed that this was no joke, but I was, now, even more confused than before. I didn't have a time traveling power, and I never got one from the Nimora.
"W-what do you mean?" I stammered, and the woman gave me a whole-hearted laugh pure of spite. "Don't joke with us! Remember, you're the one playing with your life here. It's either telling us the truth, or you die here." She muttered in a menacing tone. "B-but I don't have that power!" I stammered again in fear, backing up as far as I could toward the bed wall.
