Turning around I followed Andrew and Amory to the car. I could tell Andrew was still very upset with my actions when he sat in the passenger seat. He didn't speak as Amory started to drive away. I could see Amory was in pain, on his face and in his body language. He was crouched against the wheel and his face was white as snow. His eyes weren't brown anymore, they were a blazing gold with tears in them as he drove away from the diner. I looked towards Andrew as he placed a hand on Amory's shoulder. I gritted my teeth and turned towards the window as I watched trees pass by the car quickly. How could Amory not help Ayla, how could he watch his mate being hit on by other men? I tried to dress up once and Andrew got angry because he thought men would look at me.
Ignoring both of the men I relaxed in the back seat and tried to relax my mind. But it was bugging me that I had gotten Andrew angry, I shouldn't care. But I did. Ayla was just a stranger, but I didn't like seeing her upset. Closing my eyes I leaned my head on the window and sighed in defeat. I shouldn't have bothered. I thought to myself as I allowed myself to fall asleep.
"Why did you leave us?" Multiple voices cried out in the darkness, "Why did you leave our home? Come back." Looking around in the darkness I realized I was back in my parents house. I was laying in Andrew's bed, and slowly I pushed the blanket off of my body, "Come back." The voices cried as I walked out of the room. I had on a long night gown as I walked towards the stairs, "Please, come back." The voices singled out and one remained as I looked down the stairs. The wired phone was hanging from its cord as the voice cried out, "Come back!" Walking down the stairs I felt my body slowly get smaller as the railing grew taller.
"We need to leave." Father's voice said as I watched his shadow walk back and forth in the living room, "Victoria is not safe here, if the werewolves find us-"
"We will know when they get here." Mother said, "Hale promise-"
"Can we trust him?" Father asked as I stepped down another stair.
"Uncle Hale." My voice said as my parents looked towards me. "Where is uncle?" I asked and rubbed my eyes.
"Victoria." My father said and walked over to pick me up. He cradled me in his warm arms as he looked towards my mother.
"Uncle is not here." She whispered and walked towards me. "Why are you out of bed?" She asked and smiled at me. But her voice sounded like she was panicking.
"Mommy." I said and reached my hands out to her body. Her cold body covered mine as she held me to her chest.
"Victoria, how would you feel about moving? We can go home." My father asked as he placed a hand on my back.
"Home?" I asked him with wide eyes.
"Yes, home." My mother said and smiled towards me.
My parents then disappeared and I was standing in the middle of the dead wolves, staring at the dead bodies that had been chewed and slashed open. I couldn't hear my scream, but I could feel the air rushing out of my lungs as I stepped on the wet sticky fur under me. Running up to them, "Mommy! Daddy!" I cried as I reached for their bodies. Sheila was behind me as I grabbed hold of their hair, she tried to pull me away. "No! No! No!" I cried as she carried me out of the room. I turned around and started to kick and smack her as I cried, "Home! Home! Home!"
As Sheila walked me out of the room I was thrown into the darkness and struggled to breathe, I was no longer a child. Instead I was who I was today as I sobbed into my knees. My parents still laid dead but black eyes watched me from afar as I hid my face into my hands. I watched as claws reached for their bodies. "No!" I screamed as I held onto them. "No! Stop!" I cried. They were taking them away. They were taking my parents. I opened my mouth to scream as I felt their limbs start to strain.
