As the streets ran with brash, idiotic sinners and hellborn, in the corner of Pentagram City lay a silent place amidst all the chaos. The palace of the Morningstars. Its marble structure clearly defined against the crimson sky, standing out among the decrepit and poorly maintained buildings. The heavenly light from above disapaited as the portal to up above closed. The normal hue of dark red filled the atmosphere once again. A recently used limousine sat in the palace's garage, and who it had brought with them was very resistant towards the whole idea that her parents had came up with.

"Dad, please!" Charlie said with a strained voice as the guards were pulling her to her old room. Lucifer and Lilith decided that Y/N was unsuitable to marry into the Morningstars' legacy, so she couldn't see her lover. The princess pleaded as she was being taken away. Lucifer looked remorseful, and wanted to stop this, but he couldn't. Lilith stepped forward.

"It will be okay my child. We're just protecting you," the mother of demons responded, placing a soft palm on her daughter's face. Charlie still jerked around, trying to get free.

"He didn't do it! I've told you this a thousand times! And you're protecting me by locking me in my room until he's dead?! That's torture!" The princess screamed, her red horns erupting out of her head, her eyes turned more demonic, and her hair began flowing.

"That's enough! We are your parents. You will listen to us. Take her away!" Lilith said, entering her own demon state. Large curly horns erupted from her skull as her teeth sharpened, and her eyes developed into a reptile like demonic look. The guards holding the princess dragged her away, the princess kicking, trying to escape this forceful bond placed upon her.

After the guards had placed the princess in her room, Lilith sighed aloud. Lucifer came from behind and placed his hand on her back.

"Don't you think we're being too harsh? What if she's telling the truth?" Lucifer said, standing up for his daughter.

"Please, love makes people blind to the truth. I can see it has her," she said in a cold response, making Lucifer step away from his beloved.

"I'll guess I'll see you at breakfast then," he stated, clutching his apple cane uncomfortably as he began to walk away.

"You might," Lilith stated, looking out the window in the hall. She gazed over Pentagram City, eyeing each and every detail about the place she had built. Of course, there were helpers, but without her, none of this would of come to fruition.

Lucifer sat in his bedroom, putting his hands over his face. He and Lilith were basically on the verge of a divorce, but with Charlie in love, it halted their splitting. Were they still close? No, far from it. They were completely distant. And even when the time came when they were to be together, it was more like employees working together. They were business partners at this point, whether he liked it or not.

He picked up a small rubber duck from atop his nightstand. It was a duckified version of Charlie, his daughter. He made sure her eyes shimmered always, and she was a sign of hood and optimism. He felt like he did her justice in this fake creature.

He then reached into his nightstand drawer and pulled out another duck he had be working on his secret. This one was partially done, with the hair and outfit already finished. He looked at it, staring at it as if he had painted its eyes, but he hadn't. It was Charlie's partner, Y/N. If they were in the family, they were getting a duck. He studied the unfinished creature before putting it back in the dark drawer. He sighed as the troubles of reality continued to plague him. His stress manifested as his Lilith walked into the room and sat beside the fallen angel.

"How much longer?" He asked. Lilith looked at him confused. Lucifer saw this in his peripheral and decided to clarify himself.

"How much longer do I have to sit here and watch you push our daughter further away from us?" He stated, while looking at the ground.
