Rayla sat and looked out at the pouring rain outside. She shivered. The whole lair had been filled with a unsettling chill. Callum walked and sat next to her. He took off his coat, and gave it to her. She smiled at him. He rested his head on her shoulder. He thought of all they had been through together. And now, soon they would face war too. Callum was afraid. Terrified.

But there was one weird hope. Somehow, some way, when he was with Rayla, he just knew everything would be okay. He just knew. He put his arm around her shoulder. Rayla started to cry. She could die in this battle, she thought. Or worse, so could Callum.

"What is it?" Callum asked. "You can tell me." "It's nothing." Rayla said. Callum didn't believe her, but he didn't want to pester her about it. "Okay. If you say so." He whispered. He wiped away her tears with his hand.

She smiled at him. It was a fake smile, but there was something in it. A fire still burned. She still had hope. Viren was powerful, and Aaravos was worse, but she had Callum. Callum was brave, noble, and kind. He was clever, he was cheerful. He was perfect to her.

Then, like a foghorn in a stormy sea, a roar could be heard. Loud and clear, the creature's voice rang. It wasn't that of a dragon. No. It was a twin-tailed inferno-tooth tiger. Rayla and Callum walked outside. A huge lion looking creature floated down from the thick clouds.

When it landed, a familiar woman with a scar right under her right eye poked her head up. "Aunt Amaya?" Callum yelled, running up to the aunt he had so dearly missed. Amaya began to sign something. A Sunfire elf climbed down from the creature and translated: "Callum. So glad to see you safe."

Amaya shot a look at Rayla. Callum interrupted and signed: "Oh. Right. This is Rayla. Long story, but she's on our side." Amaya nodded and walked over to Rayla. She shook her hand. Rayla had never felt more respected in her entire life. A human, one who had probably killed mountains of elves, had shaken her hand. She smiled.

Ezran and Soren ran out, hearing the commotion. "General Amaya?" Soren said with an inquiring gaze. Ezran ran up and hugged her. Another Sunfire elf slid down, more gracefully than the first, as if she had done it before. Her crown told she was a golden knight and princess of Lux Aurea.
