I do appreciate poetry,
I enjoy crafting verses,
Channeling all the somber thoughts,
And emotions I've been harboring within.
Indeed, I appreciate poetry and being a wordsmith,
But it's not my passion.
However, do you know,
You're the catalyst,
That deepened my affinity for verses?
Before, my poems were a reservoir
Of melancholic emotions,
Yearning, solitude, sorrow, torment,
And frustrations accentuating the barriers I erected.
My verses had yet to traverse the realm of joy,
They had yet to explore the sentiments,
I am experiencing now,
The emotions I harbor for you.
But as I acknowledged the affection I bear for you,
I gradually opened up to the possibility,
That the genre I typically weave into my verses,
Could transnform into a something more uplifting.
Because of you,
And for that, I am grateful.
All of the poems I've penned and those yet to blossom,
Bloomed in spring, not in winter.
And undoubtedly, these poems are all dedicated to you, my radiant star.—ancn.
