Chaeyoung clears his throat as he closes the door of his hotel suite. He prolongs and exhale and diligently trails behind Mina who has her eyes wandering all over the place while leisurely walking further inside.
"So this is where you have been staying?" The dancer twirls around to face the painter. They are now in the small living room of the place. "Since you have gone back from you know where."
"Yep." Chaeyoung flashes an awkward smile. "W— wae? Is there something wrong with—" He nervously looks around. "Please tell me there are no weird things left behind by Tzuyu or Dahyun lying somewhere that I didn't notice."
Mina chuckles. "Why are you acting like that? You look like a boy who has his crush visit his room for the first time."
"A— Andwaeyo." The painter looks down and scratches his nape. "It's not— It's just— I was just—" He slowly guides his eyes to find the girl's face who is grinning at him adorably. "You're making this weird!"
The dancer giggles. "Me? How come? I'm just literally standing here."
Chaeyoung shakes his head and stifles a wide smile. He walks to go past the kitchen counter and to the front of his refrigerator. "Do you want anything to drink?"
Mina slowly follows him. She lets her side lean against the granite counter. "What do you have there?"
"I have cold water... warm water, and iced water." The painter playfully arches an eyebrow and turns to the girl. "Which do you prefer?"
"Seriously?"
Chaeyoung chuckles. "I also have some soju and whiskey."
Mina shakes her head continuously. "Uh uh. Hard pass on the alcohol."
"Then..." The painter scans the area around him. "Oh. Coffee? I still have some ground coffee. Tzuyu brought a lot last time since she and Dahyun have been eating breakfast here without fail since last week."
"Ah. Jinjja?"
"Uh huh." Chaeyoung smiles. "So, coffee?"
Mina simply nods. She just silently watches the painter put water on the brewer, scoop out ground coffee from its zip locked container, and turn the machine on.
When the brewer's red light was on, Chaeyoung turned to the girl with a smile. "And now we wait."
The dancer heaves in a deep breath and walks towards the petite guy.
"W— wae?" Chaeyoung smiles at Mina who was closing in to him without a word. "Is there something you—"
Without saying another word, Mina raised her arms to encircle Chaeyoung in a tight hug. She lets her chin rest on his right shoulder as she closes her eyes.
"M—" The painter gulps. He already has his arms wrapped around the girl's waist to reciprocate the embrace. "Mina? Wae?"
The dancer just snuggles closer to the man's neck.
Chaeyoung draws a smile to his face like he had a good read on what Mina is thinking right now. "Were you relieved that everything went okay that easily with Chaemi?"
"Hmm."
"I'm glad you feel that way." The painter places a short kiss to the side of Mina's head. "I promise to always do my best to share these kinds of responsibilities with you. From now on, I will always be here for you. You can call me right in the middle of the night or wherever I am even on the other side of the world and I swear I will come running for you, my love."
Mina's grip on the fabric of Chaeyoung's shirt tightens. "When you board that plane again... you— you will come back for me, won't you? You will not leave me and Chaemi for another seven years only because—"
