Chapter 12
My body is slammed against metal caging as the truck turns a sharp corner. I nudge Softheart who is still not moving. The dart in my shoulder is really hurting now and the sound of humans shutters through the metal beast.
"We got a good one here" Says one of the humans in there blahber of a language. I snarl at them, I love the way they try poking a stick at me, I'll just snap it in half.
"Settle down dog... we ain't gonna hurt you, Ha ha ha" he blabbers. I sit in the cage with Softheart between my paws. he moans and looks up at me. When he sees the humans he jumps to his paws.
"L-lightheart there... there humans..." he stammers.
"I know Softheart, it will be okay." I turn my head to the window. I think of Moonlight. Where is she now...
I lay my head down and remember her scream. Maybe they go her to? No, I would see her. Softheart has fallen asleep. I watch the steady breathing of his chest rising and falling which reassures me he is okay. I look at the stars through the window. Moonlight, I need you.
