Ethan idled at the Hermes table in the Camp Half-Blood pavilion, looking rather uninterested as he pushed his food around his plate with a fork.

Suddenly, his gaze met a pair of beautiful eyes, and he couldn't help but be entranced.

A small, involuntary smile crept onto his lips as he locked eyes with the mysterious stranger.

They exchanged a smile, but the moment quickly passed. Ethan continued to steal glances at those beautiful eyes, feeling his cheeks grow warm.

He was really blushing? He thought, surprised and amused that he'd been so enchanted by a stranger's gaze.

Ethan's cheeks remained flushed and he looked away from those eyes, now feeling a bit sheepish for being so attracted to someone he didn't even know.

He cleared his throat and began eating his food.

As the meal went on, Ethan found it increasingly difficult to focus on his food. His thoughts kept drifting back to the mesmerizing eyes that had caught his attention.

With dinner at an end, campers at every table rose from their seats and made their way to their respective cabins

"Ethan."

Ethan looked over as Luke addressed him and pointed to the boy he had seen in the pavilion.

"This is Aleks, could you give him a tour around the camp tomorrow morning?"

He felt a slight flush spread across his cheeks.

Ethan cleared his throat slightly before nodding to Luke.

"Sure thing, you got it." He replied with a hint of embarrassment in his voice.

...

The next morning, Ethan was waiting outside of the Hermes cabin to give Aleks his tour.

He was a bit nervous since he knew he would be spending most of the day with him, but he also felt excited as well.

"You called Ethan, right?"

Ethan looked up at Aleks as the boy approached him.

"Yes, that's me." He replied with a nod.

He was a bit surprised that Aleks remembered his name, but he figured that he could have heard it again from another member of the Hermes cabin.

"And you're Aleks, right?" Ethan asked, trying to look like he was remembering what Luke had told him, but in reality, he had Aleks's name wandering around his head all night long.

"Yes. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too." Ethan smiled. "So... Luke told me that you need a tour of camp. Are you up for that? I'm no specialist, but I can try to show you around as much as I can."

"I am."

Ethan nodded at the boy's reply and began walking.

"Okay, well, follow me then."

He began to lead Aleks in the general direction of Camp Half-Blood, trying to be patient with the new camper questions.

As they walked, Ethan was wondering if he could ask a question. He wasn't sure if it would be too weird, but he figured he could at least try.

"So, I noticed that you were staring at me during dinner yesterday." He said after a moment's hesitation.

He tried not to sound too nervous or embarrassed since he didn't want to appear as vulnerable in front of Aleks.
