Chapter 7

Ethan quickly and quietly entered Hermes cabin, feeling his knees still weak due to the confession.

He felt a rush of butterflies in his stomach and his legs felt like jelly, it was an amazing feeling but also a strange one. He felt like he wanted to sit or lay down somewhere and calm himself, but he wasn't sure if he would be able to.

Ethan just slowly walked through the cabin and went to his bed to lie down, his heart was beating rapidly and he was feeling all the effects of the previous confession.

The next day, Ethan didn't even see Aleks, and when Ethan looked at him while eating at the pavilion, Aleks wasn't paying attention to him at all.

When dinner ended, Ethan was already in a hurry to go to their special place and talk with Aleks about what happened last night. Ethan immediately jumped up and started running towards the beach when he realized where the boy was going.

When he arrived at his and Aleks's spot, the boy was already sitting there, watching the waves breaking on the shore.

"Hey... Aleks..."

"You came." Aleks turned to look at him with a huge smile on his face.

Ethan's heart skipped a beat when he saw the boy turn to look at him and have a huge smile on his face.

"Yeah... I did..." He said in a calm voice, he was still feeling butterflies in his stomach and his heart beat seemed to still be rapid. "So... Um... Aleks... you know... What I said last night, I...I meant it. And I'm happy to... hear you say you want... you feel something too...."

"I also meant it, Ethan." Ethan was shocked when he heard the boy's words.

He felt his heart start leaping out of his chest and his face felt warmer and more red as he heard the boy say those words.

"You did..?" He asked in a soft tone. "You meant it?"

"Yes."

He felt like he was in a dream as the words were repeated back to him, but he knew that it was all real, and he knew what this meant.

"I... I am so happy to hear that..." He spoke in a quiet voice and let himself sit there and take in the moment for a few minutes to process everything they both had said.

Ethan felt like he was in his dream that he had always wished for, he always wanted to be with someone he felt this way towards and now the moment has come. He couldn't have asked the gods for a better moment than this one right now.

"So... um..." Ethan started, but felt his mind going completely blank when he felt the hands of the boy placed on his cheeks. He felt his heart skip a beat and the butterflies in his stomach go wild when he realized that the boy's words had been interrupted by his lips touching the boy's lips.

Ethan was completely stunned and speechless, he felt his cheeks start glowing and they felt incredibly warm to the touch.

He didn't know what to make of it, but he certainly felt so happy to be kissing the boy he had so much affection towards at that moment.

Before Ethan could even process what was happening, they heard the sound of footsteps getting closer to them, but they weren't paying much attention to them at all as they were so caught up in the moment and all the emotions happening to them.

A voice was heard coming from farther away, and the footsteps slowed as they got closer to their location.

"Oh... look, it's the two young lovers." The voice was heard saying in a mocking tone, it sounded like whoever was speaking to them was teasing them about the kiss.
