|| Before You Go by Lewis Capaldi ||

Ethan had been trying to ignore the fact that Aleks was just fully ignoring him now.

It had been months since the chat they had in the arena, and since then, Ethan just felt like the boy was ignoring him now.

He tried to just not think about it all, but it was hard to ignore the fact that he felt like the boy didn't even want to be in his life anymore, even after all the good, wonderful times they had together...

Ethan was just staring at the ocean now, sitting at the edge of the boat Princess Andromeda, feeling completely hopeless.

He just couldn't stop thinking about Aleks, what had happened in the arena, and how the boy was now pretending that he didn't even exist in his life.

It hurt so much that this was what he got in return for all the love and caring that he gave for him.

Ethan just wanted a second chance to explain himself to the boy... But it seemed like that moment was never going to come...

It was then that Ethan finally decided that if the boy wasn't going to talk to him, he was going to talk to the boy.

He wanted the answers from Aleks, so he had to take some action now.

"Aleks..." Ethan said quietly knocking on the door, but he was loud enough for the boy to hear him. "Why are you ignoring me...? Why are you ignoring all the things that happened between us... What have I done to you to make you hate me so much... "

Aleks didn't open the door, but Ethan was sure he was listening to what he said. He knew the boy was listening. He wanted to believe that the boy was listening....

Ethan felt so defeated now. But the fact that he still wasn't talking to him just broke his heart even more.

"Please... Don't just ignore me..." Ethan said quietly, but the way he felt right now just made it so hard to say anything.

The door finally opened.

"Come in." Aleks said.

Ethan went into the room where the boy was.

Aleks didn't look at him now, just kept looking forward, like he was trying to ignore his presence.

But for the boy to even ask him to come in was so surprising to Ethan. He had been trying to get a chance to talk to Aleks, but the boy was always ignoring him until now.

"So... What's this room?..." Ethan asked the boy as he stepped further inside.

But then Ethan saw the large bed in the room, he now wished he hadn't asked the question.

"Nevermind that, what do you want from me?" Ethan said, looking up at the boy and waiting for him to say something to him and not just ignore him completely.

"That's what I should ask you. You were the one knocking on my door non-stop." Aleks said.

"But you opened it." Ethan pointed out.

Aleks went silent for a moment.

"It would've been rude leaving you outside." He answered moments later.

Ethan was so confused at the boy now.

Was that really the reason why the boy opened the door for him? And not because he wanted to talk to him or get some answers out of him?

"I think that's the laziest excuse ever... What I did was just want to talk to you..." Ethan said, feeling so angry now, but also sad because of what the boy was saying now. "You were ignoring me... I just wanted another chance to explain myself to you, you know...?"

"Ethan... I-"

The sound of alarms filled the room, and their piercing sound vibrated in every corner of the room.

"What's going on?" Ethan asked.

Ethan just tried to ignore the alarms as he thought there was still time to talk to the boy and try to fix things right now before moving onto what was happening next. But these alarms... What were they telling them now?

"There is someone on the boat." Aleks said as he rushed towards the door.

He turned to look at Ethan.

"C'mon!"

He didn't know if he should still try to talk to the boy before this situation started. But the alarms and the way the boy was rushing towards the door now made it look like something was really happening.

"I'm coming..." Ethan finally said, taking a deep breath as he started to walk towards the door with the boy.

They ran throughout the corridors, finding several monsters and demigods putting on their armor and grabbing their weapons. They did the same.

"Percy Jackson is here!" They heard someone say. "Get ready, he can't be alone."

"Nakamura! Martinez!" A person spoke to them. "Go search for other potential intruders and bring them to the helipad!"

"Right away." Aleks said.

"Your last name is Martinez?" Ethan asked.

"Yeah, I never told you?"

"No, you never told me," Ethan said, not really surprised anymore at this point with all the new information that was coming at him right now.

"Let's go check around the boat and see if we find someone."

"Alright..."

Ethan decided to just follow the boy's lead for now. He just hoped that this wasn't going to turn into another fight for his life.

He figured that just going around the boat and looking for anything suspicious seemed like a more peaceful way to solve this problem rather than fighting.

"How big is this boat anyways?" He asked.

The thought of now having to fight off more people now just made that stress rise up even more inside him.

"Quite big, but there must be more people looking around."

"Great..." Ethan said. "Well, let's just be done with it now."

Ethan was starting to feel so anxious with all that's going on. It was like the whole world was out to get him now. He didn't know what to do or where to go, and all this stress was just starting to hurt his head.

He just wanted to get this over with as soon as possible.

Ethan slowly followed after the boy through the boat's corridors. .

He didn't like the look of a lot of these demigods and monsters now. Many of them looked angry and they were all wearing armor and carrying weapons, some others were searching for Percy Jackson's allies infiltrated in the boat.

Ethan just followed along and hoped that the situation would get better. But as they kept walking throughout the boat's alleys, their hope seemed to be shrinking more and more.

"He's here!" They heard someone screaming, it came from the amidship, near the galley.
