Ethan's heart quickened as he confided in the boy about an issue that had been on his mind for quite some time.

It marked the first instance where he had shared this concern with someone, but he believed the time was right. After all, he and Aleks had spent a couple of weeks together by now, growing closer each day.

"I haven't been able to figure out who my godly mother is... and I'm... kind of annoyed by it... " Ethan revealed the problem to the boy who he felt so close to at this point.

He felt like telling the boy he had been holding back for so long with this little secret, he just told the boy about a problem he had and felt so anxious on what the boy's response would be.

But he felt a bit of his anxiety disappear when he saw that the boy's face didn't change when he revealed his problem to him. He seemed to not mind, and felt glad that the boy didn't seem to be bothered by the little secret he had revealed. He felt more at ease with the boy now and he felt comfortable being able to tell him more about himself later.

"Um... Maybe there's someone that could help me solve the problem and figure out who my mother is..? I just felt like I should tell you since..." Ethan thought about what he should say since it was difficult to find the right words at this point.

"I... I felt like I could trust you more than anyone else about this problem, so... I just felt like I had to tell you." Ethan finished the rest of his sentence as he looked at the boy with a small but nervous smile on his face.

Aleks smiled softly, rubbing Ethans back. "I get it, Ethan, I would be annoyed too if i was in your place."

Ethan sighed a bit when the boy responded so calmly and kindly to the problem.

He didn't expect the boy to be so nice and understanding about it, and he felt his love for the boy grow just from that comment alone.

"Ethan, I know exactly how you feel." He began, leaning in closer to him. "Our divine parents, they've done so little for us... It's as if they're happy to watch us suffer... to face monsters every single day, with no guidance and no hope."

Ethan looked up, his eyes filled with a mix of surprise and curiosity. "Yeah," he mumbled, "it's like they just don't care..."

Aleks nodded sympathetically. "Exactly, Ethan. And you know, most demigods get a little help, those with a bit of that 'main character aura.' But not us. We're the forgotten ones, and our parents might as well have abandoned us. I doubt we'll ever even meet them... and if we do, it'll be a one-time deal, and just because they need something from us..."

Aleks took Ethans hands and squeezed them gently, showing him how much he supported him.

"You see, Ethan... Kronos has offered me something the gods never will – power, respect, wealth. Just think about it. When historians like Hesiod talk about the Titan rule, they call it 'The Golden Age.' That alone sounds incredible, doesn't it? A world without suffering... a world where we stay eternally young and peaceful in our slumber till the end..."

Ethan's eyes widened as the allure of these promises began to take hold.

"How can we be sure, Aleks?... How do you know that those grand promises will become a reality at the end?..."

Aleks smiled.

"You're right, Ethan. We can't be certain, and there may be aspects we don't fully understand. But think about this... there will be no more monster attacks. And, I believe that, at the very least, those on our side will be safe from harm. No more worrying about being hunted down in the name of the Olympians. Doesn't that sound like something worth fighting for?"

"Yes... No more worrying about being attacked by the monsters..." Ethan said slowly with a nod of his head.

The boy's words sank deep within him.

He felt like the boy's words seemed a lot more kind than what they have told him throughout his life, and he felt like the boy was promising him the world when he said all of these things.

"But isn't this... Isn't this basically treason... Against the Gods?..." Ethan asked him.

"And what have the gods given us? Why do we deserve to be treated like this if all we do is do favors for them and get nothing in return?" Aleks said, slowly caressing Ethan's hands.

Ethan heard the boy say more things he had a hard time arguing against. He felt like it was a really good point too, but he felt anxious that what the boy was telling him to do now could be really dangerous.

He looked at the boy while thinking about everything that his boyfriend was saying, and he felt his emotions run wild and deep inside his heart.

"What... What if this... this plan doesn't work out... and we suffer because of it...? You and I would be hurt... Or we'd die?" Ethan asked the boy with so much doubt in his voice.

"We will not die, I can assure you that. I won't allow it."

Ethan felt his heart start to beat a bit faster due to how close the two of them were getting when they sat in front of each other. He felt his heart beating wildly but he did his best to calm himself down and focus more on what the boy was saying.

He felt his eyes sparkle a bit when the boy told him to just come with him and to not do anything he didn't want to do. If it made him feel safe, then he would want to come with the boy since he felt so safe with him.

"Okay..." Ethan said in a soft voice.

Aleks smiled.

"You won't regret it, I promise." He approached him, and placed a gentle kiss on his lips.

Ethan felt himself grow red right away once the boy's lips made contact with his own.

He felt like he didn't want to let go of the boy's kiss and he just leaned in a little bit closer in the hope that the boy would do the same while his fingers held on tightly to the boy's hand.
