In the novel, [Name's] childhood was seen to be full of love and happiness, but during her confession and speech before her death showed the truth.
[Name] Lila and her younger brother, [brother] Lila, had a normal sibling relationship. They loved each other but argued constantly.

The true problem lay with her parents.

Her parents assumed the siblings never needed love, so they were ignored and love was replaced with money. This made her believe that the Vaughn family belonged to only her because her family bought her way in, and everything they bought for her was a gift.

A prize.

But you wouldn't ever bother them like what the novel's Villainess did because this is no longer a story. And even if you both had the same name from your first life, that won't change where you are and who you're surrounded by.

While you slowly recalled the plot, the realization led to your thoughts of your family.
You would never want them to cry, but you hoped they would miss you.

It also ruined any familial love that you could've had with [Name] Lila's family.

"[Name], Hazel was asking you a question!" Caleb snapped.
"N-no, Ca-Caleb I'm sure she has other things to focus on..." Hazel sniffled.

You had half a mind to tell her that she was right but refrained from doing so because you had lost your life once, and you wouldn't lose it again. But even then you would not let them win.

"Oh, Hazel, if you can see that I'm not paying attention then I am perfectly alright with you tapping my shoulder to alert me of your presence." You sweetly replied, sending a small smirk her way.

Levi tilted his head, the way you had responded was not what any of them had expected.

 You were calculated.

Calm.

Attentive.

That made him want to be attentive to you too. But seeing that Levi was focused on anything that wasn't Hazel, Roman analyzed Levi's gaze on you, and a spark of interest lit inside him because even Hazel had to work for Levi's attention but Caleb's fiancée, the ever-dramatic [Name] Lila, won it over quickly and easily.

As for Caleb, he felt as if this suddenly became a part of the fight to help the three win over Hazel. But even though you were his fiancee, he was worried he would lose. Throughout his life his brother had been better than him, winning everything, and if a part of this war was a battle for and against his arranged future wife, then he should surely be the winner.
