[UNEDITED]

you gently stepped down the stairs to make your way towards the ballroom.

For the past few hours, you had been screaming and throwing tantrums just so that the maids wouldn't think of you as weak as the brothers did.

you had realized that since the Villainess was a downright bitch in the novel if you wanted to have the plot flow as it did before (without you dying, of course), then you would have to gain more fear from the servants and such.

Now, the servants always followed your wants and bowed closer to the floor than anything.

you felt slightly bad at times when they looked at you as if you were going to destroy their lives, but then you remembered them mocking you when you didn't know the directions to certain places, and your guilt immediately evaporated.

you grinned at the maids covered in fear while gazing at you.

'I know I look amazing, you don't have to tell me.'

The Head Maid, Yelena, the only one who wasn't terrified of you, stepped up in front of you and bowed, stopping you from entering the ballroom.

you groaned, glaring at the space in between you and the gigantic doors. "Yes? What is it?" you snapped, already irritated that you had to go to Hazel's birthday party.

"I would merely like to warn you, my Lady [Name], that what you see in there might make you angry..."

you rolled your eyes. "Is it worse than my fiancée being all over the birthday girl?"

Yelena stilled and shook her head, surprised that you were right, and opened the doors to the fancy ballroom.

you clenched your jaw and looked around, focusing on the eyes of Hazel as she glanced at you, surprised.

'Let's see who will win this round, shall we?'
