As we left the apartment, Lindy waved at us both. As I waved back,  Stella just ignored her. We walked for a while before arriving at a junction where taxi normally are. A car pulled up in front of us, and Stella got in while I stood there dumbfounded.

"What are you waiting for? Get in." She said with a little bit of annoyance laced in her tone. So, not to make things more awkward than it already is, I got in.

After a while, we arrived at the school, and Stella paid for the ride, to which I was grateful as I did not know the currency this place or city was using. "Next time, you pay," she said, and I nodded. "Since we're going to be doing this frequently." She paused to examine me, and as I was about to thank her, she walked away.

As I stood in front of the golden gate puzzled by what just happened, I heard someone calling my name from behind me. I turned to see who it was and saw that it was Nicky. Definitely not surprising, but a bit surprising to see him here. And beside him, a tall, well-built guy with fluffy pink cotton candy hair. But before I could take in how good-looking he was, they were already in front of me. And I definitely didn't want to get caught just staring randomly at him.

Third Person's POV

"Hey, Lilley!" Nicky called again, excitement laced in his tone.

"Hey..." Lilley replied awkwardly.

Nicky and his friend walked closer to where she stood.
"Good morning!" He greeted with his usual hyperness that Lilley picked up. But his smile was unusually too bright.

Is he that excited for school? Lilley thought.

His friend looked confused as to who she was, but before he could ask, Nicky took the liberty to introduce them both.
"Lilley, this is Axel and Axel, this is Lilley, or you can call her Lillian."

"Lilley is fine," she replied with a little smile and wave.

He stared at her for a while before he nodded and replied, "Hello."

"Good, now that you guys know each other, let's head inside." Nicky said as he walked ahead of them, leading inside the school gate. Lilley and Axel followed behind him and beside each other.
"It's nice to meet you. Hope to see more of you." He said, his voice lowered like in a whisper, but she heard. Before she could say anything back, he walked ahead and caught up with Nicky.

Finally, inside the building, Nicky turned to Lilley.
"You need to see Miss Julia, right?" He asked.

She looked around first. "I do, but I'm not sure I still remember where her office was located."

"I'd love to show you where it's located, but I need to meet a certain teacher before class begins," he sighed. "But you can ask Dina, she's over there," he waved in her direction, and she waved back.

"She's the one with the big glasses," Axel said, and as if hearing him, she glared at him.

"Anyway, see you in class," Nicky said as he skipped away with Axel following him behind.

Lilley walked over to where Dina was and greeted her.
"Oh, I know who you are. You're the new kid... Lillian Anderson, right?" She asked as her eyes sparkled through the glasses and her face beamed with curiosity. The more her big eyes glowed, the more cute she got.

She had short dark brown hair that was over her shoulder. Her big caramel coloured eyes can easily be seen through her clear round glasses, which were not too big for her face and fitted her just right. She had a small round face with cute chubby cheeks and a deep dimples on the left side of her cheeks and a not so noticeable one on the right.

Though she looked small, she gave off a pretty intimidating vibe to Lilley. But despite that, Lilley still thought she looked cute. And realised the people she've come across so far are all beautiful.

"Well... are you?" Dina asked again.

Right. Lilley snapped back from her thoughts. "Yes, I am."

"Good, cause you just met the right person to show you around, but first, let's get you a uniform." As if her face wasn't bright enough, it became even brighter. "Come on."
Maybe it was the chill air that blew that morning or the people she've met so far, or maybe she was just being delusional, but she started to like the world. Maybe it's not so bad.

They arrived at miss Julia's office, and as Dina was about to knock, the door opened. A tall, slender guy came out with a scowl on his face as he glanced at Dina before walking away. Lilley took note of the guy, despite his frowning face, he too was good-looking.

"What's up with him?" Dina muttered to herself before entering the office as Lilley followed behind.

"Good morning, Miss Julia," Dina greeted politely.

"Morning Diana," she responded with a smile.

Diana? Lilley glanced at Dina before quickly looking away when Dina turned. As if reading her thoughts, she said, "That's my full name, but some people just call me Dina."

Lilley nodded. Just like my name.

"Oh, you're here too, Lillian. You're quite early." Miss Julia came forward.

"Good morning, miss," she shyly greeted.

"Morning,"

"I brought her here because it looks like she couldn't locate your office," Dina said as if to please Miss Julia.

"How kind of you," Julia commended. "Hold on while I get your ID, and for your uniform, go ahead and try those." She pointed to a well stack and organised uniforms, "Dina, please help out."

"Sure thing," she said, saluting before skipping to the couch that had the uniforms. "Come try this one."

"Uh, sure," she made her way to where Dina was.
