It was just another serene day at Dwarka. The people were indulged in their own work. Some washing clothes near the river, some wandering with their cows, some making garlands with the flowers their wives collected early in the morning and so much more.
A cheer echoes amongst the crowded market as the princess runs through it. She stops by all the shops, asks the shopkeepers about their products, buys each one of them and then moves ahead.
Everyone was delighted to have the princess at their shops and being able to sell their handmade products to her.
Charu, Charumati's elder brother and Rukmini's youngest son, who promised his little sister to take her for shopping in Dwarka itself, was giggling at her attics when she would argue with the shopkeeper who asked her not to pay.
Soon, they were back in the palace and Charumati asked everyone to be present in the big dorm, which she called 'a room where everyone meets'.
In a little while all the present members gathered in the room and Charumati began narating the day and showing all the things she purchased from the market.
Of course not everyone from the family was present, due to their own respective reasons and duties.
Rukmini was standing there, smiling looking at her daughter, non-stop. While having a glance at everyone in the room, Shri Krishna saw Rukmini admiring their daughter and smiled at her. He knew what she was thinking.
Soon, Rukmini had glassy eyes as a layer of tears covered her orbs.
Shri Krishna shifted towards her and leaned towards her. "What is it Priye?" He asked.
She slowly looked at him and replied, "Nothing you don't know Shri Krishna!" To this, he simply smiled and shifted them towards a corner.
"What will we do after she goes away? I know we have our other kids as well but she is our only daughter! How will the days pass by after she goes away with her husband?" She whispered as soon as they reached.
"Do we know when she will marry?" Shri Krishna asked.
Rukmini nodded in no.
"Do we know to whom she will marry?"
Rukmini again nodded in no.
"Is she going away right now?"
"No!" She answered almost immediately.
Shri Krishna smiled and said, "Why should we worry about something which we don't know when will it happen or how will it happen? Why do we not have mindfulness? Why do we not live in the moment? Why do we not decide to cherish the moment we actually are in instead of worrying and getting sad about the future or overthink about what has already happened?"
Rukmini, on the other hand wondered how simple his words were!
"Do you not worry about being separated from Charumati?" She asked.
He smiled and answered, "She is my Dulari, Priye! I do love her! But that doesn't affect me in a way that I forget to cherish the present moment and worry about any other... I love her and that is why I choose to cherish the present moment!"
His words made a lot sense. Like always. Rukmini smiled and wiped off her tears.
"You are right Shri Krishna! We choose to cherish the present moment because we love her!"
The couple smiled and then glanced towards the others. Everyone present there was super interestingly listening to their munchkin.
They again looked at each other an smiled. "Maa!! Pitashree!! Aap yaha aaye!" Called out Charumati, breaking their trance.
The two smiled at her and got indulged with the family.
