A year passed and Charumati and Bali announced the coming of their second child. The family was delighted and distributed sweets throughout the city. Charumati's natal family was too informed about the good news through a messenger.

Seeing that Charumati did not come to them personally to inform them about such a delightful event, Rukmini felt disappointed. A few days later, they decided to visit her. Charumati was bewildered at their arrival since it was unexpected for her.

Both the families hugged and congratulated each other and showered Charumati with blessings and gifts. Charumati hugged everyone and felt happy at the love she was being showered with by them, the second time after her wedding.

"We expected you to come and tell us such great news." Rukmini expressed that once she and her co-wives were left alone with Charumati. Hearing her, Charumati's smile dimmed. Were they here because they were disappointed?

She recalled Bali's words and composed herself, not letting her mother's words hurt her.

"But maa I am just following your advice." She said as all her mothers stood confused. What advice? They thought.

"What are you talking about Dulari?" Shri Krishna asked as he entered the dorm along with Bali and Drishti.

Charumati looked at Bali and as he reassured her. Charumati calmed her racing heart as she spoke, "Maa asked to be there with my family always, through thick and thin. I just obeyed her."

"Aren't we a part of your family too?" Satyabhama asked as she mused about what Charumati just said.

Charumati glanced at Rukmini, not knowing what to answer. Rukmini, understanding what it meant, averted her gaze realising her mistake. Bali felt disappointment surge through his veins as he realised that his mother-in-law is not going to acknowledge it.

"Charumati, we also have to go to the temple. Please excuse us." Bali said the last phrase as he looked at others and soon the couple left with their 'family' to seek the blessings of the divine.

"You shouldn't have said so maa." Pradyumna expressed his disappointment as he walked out while his wives followed him.

"If she is responsible only towards her in-laws then of course she will share all her moments with them, afterall we are not her 'family'." Charu taunted as he too left.

"Words are like arrows, priye. Once they leave your mouth, the damage cannot be undone." Shri Krishna said, once he was left alone with Rukmini.

On the other hand, Charumati and others returned in the evening after seeking blessings from the temple. While others left for the palace, Rukmini stayed back and waited for her daughter to return. She returned once she apologised.

Charumati felt much better after reconciling with her mother. Bali, however, wasn't satisfied. He still couldn't let go of the time when his wife was indirectly told not to visit them too frequently. Moreover, now she was pregnant, giving any sort of stress to her won't be good.

Hence, he advised her to continue maintaining her distance from them. Not as much as before for they have now realised their mistake.

'Perhaps Pitashree was right, once maa's words left her mouth, damage was done. I can't be as much with them as before.' Charumati mused as she nodded to Bali.

Charumati's belly started to grow a little. Two months passed by, and things were never as merrier. Well, at least for them. Dwarka, however, was drowning in crime and corruption. Due to this, Bali and Kritvarma started to try to be home as soon as possible to ensure maximum safety.

Disputes arose between people and Kritvarma got involved. This increased Bali's concern for his family. His father was getting involved in a civil dispute, crime rates are rising and all of this is happening when his daughter is still a child and at home and his wife is pregnant.

Soon came devastating news. Dwarkadhish was shot by an arrow and breathed his last due to losing a lot of blood in a very short span of time. His friend and ally, Arjun, brought his body from the forest to Dwarka.

The subjects were devastated now that their king was no more. Everyone knew what this was indicating too. Their prince received a curse and years ago, their king did too. Both of them about the collapse of the Yadava kula.

Their end was near and they knew it.

All the queens, except Rukmini, decided to accompany Krishna through Sati pratha. Rukmini on the other hand, stayed back to ensure that her husband's empire's subjects were taken care of.

8 days after the dreadful day, came the day when Rukmini felt her duties were completed and now she should accompany her husband. A few hours after she breathed her last, a civil war broke out and everything went out of control.
