Hinata eats her cinnamon rolls quietly with a red face. It had taken Naruto by surprise to see her jealous side. He wryly smiles at her bewildered look, "I had received too many offers of marriage from far too many people. But all of them...they pale in comparison to you. I mean...you see me for who I am and you still want me. They only see the shiny parts; the power, the title, this face!" He grimaces as he gestures at his face, "I am tired of people telling me that I am the work of art when I know I have been told that I am the ugliest child anyone had ever laid eyes on,"

He sighs, kicking a pebble in his way to the side of the road, "I mean...before this, all of this, no one notice me. No one look at me and said...all the things you said," He blushes as he glances her way. She too is blushing heavily at the recollection of sharing her thoughts with him without knowing his identity. He smiles, "I guess...I just want to know what you really think when I hide my identity from you. So far, I know now that I irritates Sakura to the point of her hating me. My relentless attempt to impress her translates into harassment and bullying in her eyes. I know now that Shikamaru actually tried looking for me even though he came up empty,"

He looks at her, "I...am so happy to know that someone in Konoha is in pain when I went missing and even though that is cruel of me, I cannot help feeling that selfishness and pettiness. Because when you cry over me, your tears tell me that I mean something to you. That I am important enough to you that my disappearance bring your discomfort and pain," He bows down, "I'm sorry, Hinata,"

Hinata bites onto her lower lip, "...you are c-cruel, Naruto-kun..." She wipes the tears welling on the corner of her eyes, "You're so m-mean..."

He straightens his spine and pulls her in, enjoying the minute trembles of her frame in his arms, "Sorry...but your pain...it brings me comfort,"

He supposed that he is indeed a sadist.

Once she calms down again, they continue to make their way through Konoha's Senju Park. Naruto shares with her a few of his adventures, delighting at her delights to his tales. He never let go of her hand, holding it tightly. During this time, the two comes across Team 10 who had been given the mission to replant trees in the park because due to the invasion, some of the trees had died from stray attacks. However, neither notice the group of Genin squad...yet.

Ino looks up and gasps, "Shikamaru! Chouji! Look!"

Her two teammates look up to see Hinata hand in hand with the mysterious blond. Ino gushes, "Oh my! I guess he finally get to ask her out! I'm so jealous of her!"

Shikamaru scowls, "Ino, get back to work,"

Ino looks at him, "Why are you mad? Wait...don't tell me," Shikamaru rolls his eyes with a grumble just as she accuses him, "Are you in love with Hinata?!"

He glares at her, "No. I do not. Girls are so troublesome," He pats down the earth around the juvenile tree, "And besides, we are both clan heirs. We can't marry each other, you know that,"
