Naruto was having the best week of his life. Keyword; was.

Why?

Because Jiraiya that jerk decided that he will have Naruto accompany him to visit Tsunade to help talk her into accepting the hat. Like having the freaking Emperor would help change her mind about the Hokage's hat. Naruto had met the woman. She's annoyingly depressing. Granted he's incognito at the moment they met but she was crowing about him cheating at the Yakuza's gambling den. The only reason Naruto was there was because of Yahiko. He didn't even care about the game. He was there on a personal mission, seriously.

He had to compete with her to win the kid from the Yakuza's clutch...only to learn after winning that the boy had been sold off. After trashing the gambling den, he let her have his whole winning because he wanted to get on that ship that Yahiko was apparently on.

Now he has to meet her to convince her to take a position that she hates?

"You're out of your mind, dattebayo,"

Jiraiya didn't say anything beside a grunt, too busy running full speed ahead with Sage Mode on to outrun all the Oniwaban on his heels while carrying the Emperor under his arm like a sack of onions.

Naruto rolls his eyes before settling for a restless power nap. This isn't the first time he's kidnapped and he doubted that it will be the last until he's truly an adult. Jiraiya noticed the boy had fallen asleep when he heard him snoring. He mentally grumbles, "This is a first time a kidnapped victim snores mid kidnapping. Am I really that boring?"

Naruto snores louder in respond.

Jiraiya's eye twitches, "He's doing this on purpose,"

By dawn, he's right in front of Tanzaku town's gate where Tsunade was last heard heading to. Naruto yawns the moment he landed, "Are we there yet?"

Jiraiya stares at the bleary eyed blond rubbing his eye with one fist.

Naruto looks at him, still dangling under his arm, "What?"

Jiraiya rolls his eyes and says, "Nothing,"

Still carrying the boy, Jiraiya walks through Tanzaku and looks around, trying to read the atmosphere just in case he can catch wind of Tsunade. Naruto huffs, staring at the all the gambling houses in boredom. Jiraiya passes one, someone won a jackpot. Jiraiya passes another, a bad dice rolls into good. Jiraiya passes yet another one, someone won the game in a landslide. Cheers echoes through the shops one after another as he passes through the gambling town.

The Sage stops and groans, "This is getting ridiculous,"

Naruto deadpans, "You think?"

Jiraiya glares at him, "At this rate, the Great Sucker will run!"

Naruto huffs, "Why would she? She'll be winning big time, won't she?"

Jiraiya sighs, "Look, Tsunade gambles because she wants to keep losing. Her superstition is that if she kept losing, then her world will keep winning. The moment she wins, her world will collapse,"

Naruto thought back over the frowning shades around her the last time he was there. A tall man with white hair and green eyes and a Genin age boy with soft brown hair and dark olive eyes. He can guess what happened from the way they looked at her in concern and guilt. He asks, "Did they wanted to be Hokage too?"

Jiraiya pauses a step before continuing, "Figures you saw something,"

Naruto seldom confides about his ability to see through the Veil. Jiraiya was one of the few that notice this ability of his. This made hiding things and lying to Naruto hard, even without his Tyrant Law. After all, he could simply ask the dead for the truth. With invisible spies that cannot be touched and revealed unless one uses forbidden techniques, Naruto can control just about anyone if he desires it.
